Spoke with my good friend, Fr. R who will come by this Wednesday morning, Ash Wednesday, to administer ashes and the Sacraments, and then I will begin a 46-day observance of Lent with prayer, reparation and fasting. My diet will consist of seafood, fish, vegetables, bread, water and wine. It is an honor to walk with Jesus silently and observe my holy Roman Catholic faith more at this time than any other during the year.

Smiling while remembering someone that passed away on Friday. The memories of good times break through my weeping. Very thankful we were together last summer. Larger than life, the jolliest of laughers, enjoyed the simple pleasures of living to the fullest - RIP Arnie.

I got to see my mom today, I have not seen her since her b-day in December...the weekend that my ex moved out...and my sis flew in to surprise us that weekend as well...what a nice surprise in the middle of such chaos :)
my mom requested an early addition sunday paper and my mini upholstery cleaner...we baked date bars and she sent me home with a bunch of books :) |
I smiled today when I got my leather vest back from the leathersmith.

Sometimes it is the last smile of the day that really counts and some times that smile comes from unexpected people at unexpected times....like today on my way home as I read the reps left on one of my posts..thank you for the smile when this guy needed it most. Tips hat and goes to bed with that smile you gave me

Well, this is really nerdy but while swimming today came up with a plan for workshop that I need to present. Working with a colleague who has her "paper" to present... in academia that is what is legitimate but I have found my angle and mow have something to say to her when we meet next Wed. So, I smiled��

At the airpprt this morning an elderly man about 70 waited for his wife.,,when she arrived there was no doubt she was his...she had on a matching texas flag shirt...he greeted her with a kiss :)

Then, they duet a bit of "Love on Top" before Beyoncé sings "Survivor" to Taylon, who responds by dancing enthusiastically. Taylon's wish became a reality thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the organization that sent Taylon and her family to the Beyoncé concert. |
