The older I get, the more I realize...
 

To take delicious advantage of the restorative magic that is nap time!
Simple pleasures are the best treasures.
It's worth the time and effort to be good to myself.
Listening more, and talking less is something more people ought to try.
Slowing down/aging has its advantages, too.

that few things are needed...
that fewer yet matter...
but those that do...
I want to hold dear...
and cherish and treasure and never let go...
and nurture and feed them ...
and enjoy watching them grow...

that it is love and kindness alone that will stand
the test of endurance...
the thing that will last
without having an end..

The older I get the more I realize that lessons learned are much better than regrets for having never tried.

That our time on Earth is limited, and that I am so lucky to get to spend my remaining time with the love of my life.

That there are more adjustments to make in life, and some of them aren't nice
at all.

The older I get the more I realize how important family is.... I know somewhere along the line I did something right because I managed to raise 2 girls to be amazing women. Between the 2 of them, they have given me 8 grandchildren and countless reasons to beam with pride. And, most amazing to me is the fact that they like me.... they like to hang out with me...they think I'm cool... lol ....and there's just nothing better than that in my book.

Wouldn't trade my life for anything.
