Miss Katz, I HIGHLY recommend Trouble With The Curve........:hangloose:

Kobi 07-19-2017 08:47 AM

Dawn, homoe you are both correct. It was Billy Crystal and it was years and years ago.

BTW, thanks for the suggestion on Donnie Darko. That has got to be the strangest, most bizarrely intriguing and creative movie I have seen in a long time. Half way thru and hope I get to finish it before I have to head out.

homoe 07-19-2017 08:54 AM

OK now I'm getting REALLY bugged, I know the title isn't The Meaning Of Life because that is Monty Python but I think its about life and what's the point of life.... blah blah blah!

Damn if only I were younger and didn't have so much data for my mind to process....:giggle:

homoe 07-19-2017 09:16 AM

OMG Kobi is it City Slickers????? The first one? I only saw it once and it really didn't make that big of an impression on me at the time so maybe I should re-watch it???

Sidebar: I recently hear or read somewhere that it isn't old age or forgotten memory when we're having a hard time recalling a specific bit of info, but because we're older we have WAY more data that our mind has to process before we come up with the information we seek!

Oh, homoe, I think you're SO right about the brain as it ages.... AND, I like how you process that particular strand of thought.

<<<<<~~ struggles with information over load, alllll the time.

:giggle:

AND, I LOVE LOVE LOVE movies that star Billy Crystal. What type of actor would you sat he is???? Method actor????

I'm also a huge fan of early movies starring Dan Akroyd, Eddie Murphy, and Bill Murray and most of the SNL crew of the 70s Era and beyond. :hangloose:

Yes, correct! The original City Slickers. 1991 I believe. Classic Crystal, classic one liners.

And, when Donnie Darko haunts my sleep tonight.....you are on the west coast, me on the east......remind me to bug you cuz you will still be awake. LOL.

I think because it's a bible reference it has probably been used in several movies so I'll need another quote or hint as to solve this one Miss Katz.........

Here's a second hint, ok?

"I know my place gentlemen...
....It just may not be where you like it"

Kätzchen 07-21-2017 10:49 PM

New Clue (different movie)

"In order to fix a deviated septum, you have to break the nose in order to fix it...."

Kätzchen 07-21-2017 10:54 PM

3 New Clues (to different movie)

1) "You've arranged a life for yourself, where no one can touch you."

2) "Bill's an a$$hole. He's compulsively unfaithful and he's sometimes violent."

3) "Congratulations Jack! It looks like you've found a soul mate."

Kätzchen 07-21-2017 10:56 PM

New Clue (new movie in progress, lol)

"You can do it, Kryptonite! Come on, you can do it!"
