Anya, I love Thai food, too! There is one close to us, but we are relocating and I have to find me one that is even close to this one here....:). I love the Hosamaki combo box. OMG is it ever good! Lots of things to enjoy. I usually make two meals out of that box! Enjoy you Thai tonight! |

It is just like lemon ice but I use grapefruit instead 1 cup of water 2 cups of sugar (I use a Splenda sugar 50/50 mix) 2 cups of grapefruit juice (I buy 3-4 of the pink ones and juice them myself) 1 T Grand Marnier 1 T lime juice Pinch of salt Make a simple syrup with the sugar and water (cook together with low heat until the sugar is dissolved) Remove from heat and stir in the other ingredients Place in a bowl in the freezer, stir every 30 min until it becomes the desired consistency (usually it takes about 2-3 hours depending on the size of the bowl and the coldness of your freezer) If you have an ice cream maker you can do that rather than the more work intensive stir every 30 min. By the way the every 30 min isn't exact I just sort of wander into the kitchen every little while and stir it. You do need to do the stirring step though, whether the ice cream maker does of for you or you do it yourself, it breaks up the ice crystals and makes a better finished result You can make ahead for a party or for left overs, store in freezer, put in fridge 20 min before serving to get a good consistency. |

lol They are. I don't think I had them last year, but I'm definitely going to get them next year too. White cheddar and they are a little more delicate than the puff Cheetos. Plus they come in neato Halloweeny shapes like bones and rib cages, etc. They are literally a bag full (or half full if we're being exact) of white, poofey, cheesy bones of all kinds. Yum! |

Lol now I need to see if I can get a bag of bones, cheetos soon! |
Had a "late lunch date" with one of my nurses (when I had my knee done last March) at a local Greek joint I LOVE!

Having people over for dinner tonight. . .
Field greens salad with goat cheese, pine nuts and pears Pistachio encrusted rack of lamb Stuffed baby portobello mushrooms A really delicious Oregon Pinot Noir, Ayoub from Winderlea Vineyard The darkest of chocolate mousse with orange zest in cups made of oranges Espresso The best part is almost everything is already made or all the prep is done, I just have to roast the lamb, pop the mushrooms under the broiler, and pipe the mousse into the orange halves. Now I am off to work so I won't obsess all day |

We had windows down and sun roof open...the sky was a pretty pink with ribbons of fiery oranges and reds....just gorgeous. AND we saw a half a rainbow....simple pleasures mean the most! |
