Was sitting here remembering My mom. Wanted to send out a dedication to her. To thank her for being the most wonderful woman/person and teacher and best friend in my life. This is a Poem and Song dedicated to her. I hope that I am making her proud! And shine even a little bit of the light that she taught/shared and shined on me! This is also good for a dedication to your moms....smiles http://www.wtv-zone.com/Mary/THANKYOUMOM.HTML Thanks for keeping your promise Mamma! I feel you Everyday! http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...frient/mom.jpg |
So I'm sitting here in the infield at Talladega Superspeedway. The race is the slowest part of the day for me. Just sitting back waiting to see what happens, then it's run out and catch drivers for quotes and run back in and write like hell. Been here since 9 a.m. and won't be done with the day til after midnight, I'm sure. But it's pretty exhilarating.

Rhetorical Question #294
Isn't it reassuring to know that a Sleep Number Bed can save marriages?

the little collection of stores which has been being built for months and months, (and is less than a full block from me), finally opened yesterday...
the place, which is really too small to be realistic, was Mobbed...our little neighborhood in SF is really a village kinda site...there is: a knife shop (they sharpen as well) a vegetable place, a sushi shop, bakery, empanadas, and a pickle place which also has sandwiches...point neen??... carrots...that's the point...at the vegetable place they had bunches of carrots, still dirt on 'em and the greens in tact...I could tell they were gonna be good...and I was Right!!...I haven't had carrots this good since moving from new york--and we've been out here since '76...they were Perfect...we went down again today and, while there were slim pickens left, I did find another bunch and they too are grand...the person who owns the little booth said she is going to try to get more next week... what I really liked about her (in addition to her almost full sleeve) is that she said she is exhausted from having to talk to people all day...it made me laugh since I feel the say way when I am at a show...all the small talk, and smiling, and friendly stuff...not my natural inclination to be sure...and yet, if one wants to sell, one has to do all the interpersonal crap...it made me laugh to hear her complain about it though...I think I will just keep going down there so she has to chat to me !! what I know I will do is make a carrot cake...I hope she'll get in a fresh batch of them 'cause they will make a screamin' cake... this eye strain was brought to you by good 'ole yappy neen.... |
Why does the world need a peppermill with a light in it? Is there a strong demand for fresh-cracked pepper in the dark and I don't know about it?

As Heard This Evening...
"I still remember your tiny fists wrapped around the cutlery as you shook it threateningly at me with murder in your eyes. Even the waitress was worried."
Addendum: I would have never used them. NO, really. This moment brought to you by a summer evening two years ago at Tony Roma's. *blink* Ah, the memories. God I miss Los Angeles! |
Toothpicks. I need them to keep my eyes open.
That is all. |

http://images2.cafepress.com/product...x480_Front.jpg http://lgbtsewisc.org/yahoo_site_adm...853005_std.jpg One step closer to LGBT people being recognized as true loving caring legal parents! This story was in the news today. Britain's First Baby with Two Woman on Her Birth Certificate! LGBT parents are often prone to discrimination when they want to adopt. Their parenting abilities are scrutinized, and they face great expense for medical procedures and legal fees. The process of making two gay parents legal guardian to a child is difficult and time-consuming. In Britain, Lily-May Woods was born with two women as parents on her birth certificate. Lily-May's birth mother, Natalie, is designated as 'mother,' while Natalie's partner Betty is listed as 'parent.' This positive news comes after the Human Fertilization and Embryology Act of 2008, which gives partners in same-sex relationships equal status as parents. When the sperm donor is known, the sperm donor legally becomes the child's father. But since Natalie and Betty chose an anonymous sperm donor, Lily-May doesn't have a father listed on the birth certificate. The parents selected the sperm donor from a choice of four men based on records of his health, personality, looks, and motives for donating. Natalie and Betty are facing controversy from those who don't believe they can do a good job raising a daughter without a father. Have these naysayers forgotten how many households in straight families don't involve fathers? Many children are raised from single mothers, deceased fathers, or fathers who abandoned their kids. What's important is not the gender of the parents, but that the child is in a loving household. Not all parents in "normal" homes, after all, are well fit for parenting. Many children are the result of unwanted pregnancies and live with parents who don't have the means to provide for them. Meanwhile, millions of children are brought up in gay and lesbian households, and none of those children are accidental or unwanted. Unlike many children of straight parents, Lily-May will grow up to know that she was wanted, and that her parents were willing to go through whatever work necessary to have her and show her their love. It's unfortunate that she'll have to face the obstacle of prejudiced people who doubt the legitimacy of her family. Luckily, acceptance of gay adoptions seems to be on the rise. Hopefully, support will rise quickly, so Lily-May can grow up with love and acceptance from both her family and her community. http://images8.cafepress.com/product...olor-White.jpg |
Somehow I have managed to bite my tongue. It is now swollen and I talk funny.
That is all. Oh yes and I despise Mercury in retrograde. Carry on. |
Hmmm...
Martha Stewart just actually TRULY scared me on her morning show here with her comment "ALWAYS keep hand clippers on you" while walking about her yard pruning trees and such.
Just can't quite explain it... :praying: (It was the "visual CUT" I think that did it!) (And no, I don't follow her show normally, just channel surfed to it...) |
the feeling
Somehow writing affirmations seemed to work. I feel much better about life's annoyances overall.

The dogs forced their way into the bathroom with me this morning.
It's too early for an audience, babies. |
hahhaahahha you cannot keep our cats outta the bathroom...for even if you shut the door, they are right there scratching at it to get in......it always makes me laugh...
they must think that some exciting things go on in that place lol |

I woke up at 4:00 a.m. to the realization that I had no electricity, it turned out that most of my neighborhood didn't have electricity.
I despise cold showers, but after taking one I went to work. Thankfully I got my power back on a little while ago. Oh, and I had promised to wake someone up in the States but without electricity I was also out of my US phone. So I made an international long distance call to keep my word. Mercury, how much longer? |
Well I went out today to get a criminal record check done for My new job, and had to fill out an application form to get it done. I paid the fee, gave them My ID and went to fill out the form and of course (inserting grumble here) had to deal with those lovely boxes ~ "Male" and "Female". Of course I had no choice but to check off female, not that I wanted to, but I kind of had to. My insides were screaming out, asking why just because I have tits and a hole between My legs do I have to check a box that I do NOT fit into? :annoyed:

Today on the news I heard that the CDC announced that 3 out of 5 Americans had 1 of 3 chronic illnesses. They are high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes. All of these are causing more people to have heart disease. This is from their latest study on obesity in America. Braedon, Do what I do when filling out those boxes, use the box that is labeled as other, or unspecified. You also can piss them off and leave it blank. That always gets me an interview. Good luck Buddy! |

I missed the Census by a day. That means they are coming. My intention is to register Blossom as a 4 year old human being' In 100 years some family member is going to be reviewing those records (like I do now) and wonder about the mystery of the lost child. lmao . |
