And even tho it was physically taxing, my back does not feel like its going to go out! my dog's ear infection is over! my peonies are blooming! oooo...and I am almost done unpacking the upstairs! |

watching my tail-less, cat that also can't hear leap across the room from the Buddha stand and land on a big rottie. Freaked the rottie out, he yelped starting running and the cat held on... I was thinking "damn this is one fucked up cat!" wishing I had more time to garden. |

My day, in a nutshell has brought me joy!
My internal clock is off but I had the pleasure of indulging it. I also took a 30 block brisk walk in the rain, somehow it felt cleansing. No responsibilities today brought me great joy :) |

Spending the last 3 hours of sunlight in my garden, bending and stretching, sweating and pulling weeds, mowing the grass, smelling a million things, watching the dogs follow along behind, coming upon new flowers opening with deep purple colors.

Getting out of the hospital today after being in there a week!

I already logged off once, but had to come back and post this...
Finally getting to bed... lights off, doggy curled up near by with his froggy, country music playing softly, a small fan keeping the temp just right, the feel of new sheets and old, comforting favorite quilt against my vanilla & honey scented skin... when I realize the room is lit by the warm glow of moonlight... I reach out and pull the curtain away, and through the overcast skies, the moonlight kisses my bare skin and I have a direct view of the moon with its soft halo of clouds. After this long, hard day...this is very comforting to me. Anyone that knows me, knows about "Annie's Moon"...

my 2 hour nap

having fallen asleep on the couch instead of in bed, I woke to an old cat wheezing asleep on my legs...and the old dog, softly snoring on the floor beside the couch, my hand on her shoulder. the house was still..the sun was warm but the house remained cool. The only noises beyond the animals breathing were the birds outside...clamoring their day time songs to each other.
I lay there, not stirring, so as to not disturb this harmony and sense of tranquility... of all the places I have lived, here is where I Am. |
I have to suffer through a mandatory staff meeting (not the joyful part), but once we are done, we are celebrating mine and another coworker's birthday with free pizza, the most perfect food in the world (the joyful part).

What brought me joy today...
:beerfunnel: Laughing & catching up with my BBFF last night on the phone. It's good to hear his smile back in his voice and both of us getting excited about the Reunion in less than 90 days. The weather is gorgeous, the pool is clear ~ no plans for the night! I'm gonna lay on my float and let the worries of the day wash away. Looking forward to this weekend, spending time with friends floatin' down the river. Asking the man if I could leave a lil' early on Friday... and him saying yes! That means we get to hit the road 3 hours early! |

Four hours of training FLEW by! Please, oh please, let this new trainee be a good replacement. She is going to replace me when I leave, so I find it kind of fitting that she's short, sassy, a hugger, and family. :cheesy:
