After I decided to leave my laptop at bestbuy I aimlessly walked around. I came upon the telephone section. I have a land line but the telephones died and I never replaced them so I never use it. Well, they now make digital phones that will wirelessly answer your cell phone on the handset. Very cool

My boss calls today to tell me I was selected. Hmmm.."selected?" Or was I volunteered?
She says selected. Ok, by who? She says herself and LossPrevention regional manager. I smile, and ask...is there a trip involved? She laughs, no, but your name will be up in lights! Ok, it's an honor, but I wanted a trip to New York! I'm smiling still :) |
I share a lot of urgent dog adoptions needed on facebook.. it warms my heart when they are adopted a lot of them just in time to not be put down. One that made me smile today was a sweet sad pup covered in mange left to die. She is going to get the treatment she needs because she got a foster in time.

I've had my large SUV for over 14 years and I have had the dog for 9. Every single time I walk towards the truck and the little 12 lb jack russell is sitting upright looking at me from the drivers seat, I smile. Like today. It makes me smile Every. Single. Time. 9 years and counting! Damn, I love that little fucker (and the truck!)!

Today I got to hang out with my co-worker-new-buddy and my girl. My buddy and I went to work but only stayed 1 1/2 hrs.

I was smiling while sitting in my new classroom. I have an intercom in my room. I also have a new laptop and IPad. My principal gave me a welcome hug. It's all good. :giggle:

Having the rain clear and let me grab a hike with the wonder poodle...
The way he gets so excited when he sees little kids... Watching two 9 year old girls swim in the stream and slide down the side of the bank... I remember those days :) (and I may be inclined to do the same when I'm better prepared!) Coming home to a clean fresh house and making a nice lunch/dinner... Knowing October is right around the corner.... <3 |

one more dog story...
My friend's old, gentle, quiet, slightly frail (with breathing problems) Chihuahua has been my luv bug for the past 3 days...I told my friend that when she gets back we would have to share custody of this lil fella since it seems he has "taken to me" more-so than anyone else ...
I'm scared silly to let him outside without a leash because of speed demons and semi trucks going so fast they sound like freight trains on this dang road...so I fitted him with his first little harness and leash...he hates it and looks at me real cross when he's on the leash, wrapping himself around trees or yard plants...but he always forgives me later. He likes to curl up on the back of the couch near my shoulders...his harness fastens with velcro...every time he wants to move, the velcro sticks him to the couch or his towel...poor little guy is earning the name Velcro Dawg....maybe that's why he left me "prizes" today on the living room floor instead of leaving it outside on one of our many trips with the leash? |
Spending another day with them. Filled with laughter, reassurance, plan making, did I say laughter, and no pressure what so ever....just a natural ebb and flow.

the thing that made me smile was when i got a call saying my laptop is fixed i can come pick it up what made me smile more was being glad i bought the one year warrenty.....aslo that i bought four new video games :cheesy:
