I had taken my elderly neighbor to the doctor a couple weeks ago cause she could hardly walk.
Today, one of her sons brought me a nice BBQ plate lunch for me doing that for his mother.
Damn it was good.
Who says kindness isn't repaid? NOT ME. :)

An e-mail ten minutes (11:15 p.m.!) ago from the company I interviewed with last week on the phone, asking me to come in to HQ for a face-to-face interview. Kinda nervous, but if I got this far, it should be a win right? 50% excited, 50% hella nervous. Eek! :blush:

Miles and miles of smiles here this afternoon!

Flowers also made me smile today. Daffodils specifically..so sunny and bright and hope filled...hopes for spring...

Being able to leave the windows open without freezing to death. Also, hearing the birds chatter and watching my cat go nuts.

Having the most affectionate dog... Who knows how to spoon perfectly and always makes me feel overly loved. I don't know what I would do without him!! <3 :-D :-D

My other bratty ones makes me :-D everyday too.... Even when she bites me. She has her moments of pure affection and I cherish her too!! <3

Standing in Mom's kitchen, listening to her grunt, and mmmm over the grilled thick marinated, potk chops, baked tater and homemade slaw She was clearly enjoying her supper.

People I used to see on a daily basis, finding me in my new role and surprising me with a huge hug or random goodies, which is totally unexpected, but makes me feel so loved, liked and cared about. I totally love where I work.

The sun is shinning, it is warm outside, and I am home smiling. :)

Aaaaad... it's Friday eve! I thought it would never get here.

Okay, I know this probably sounds silly but I smiled biggest today (just a few moments ago, in fact) after I changed the tire on my car. It's not like I haven't ever done it before, but today I was in a situation where I had to.

And it is so good to know you can do something when you have to do it - because I typically just feign ignorance and let someone else swoop in and play the hero (do all the work, lol).

So I feel all mature now and I really wanted a beer while I was out there "working." lol, but instead, I am going to reward myself by steeping some green tea to which I will add raw honey that came straight from one of the local apiaries - with a chunk of cut comb right in it.

I deserve it. I'm going to savor every sip. And I'm going to smile even more while I do so.

Catching up with some friends, who moved in together, enjoying cold beer and good food and great convo!

I wasn't smiling when I heard the tap on my front door this morning. My disabled neighbor standing there, needing to go to town.

True to form it wasn't long before he had me smiling and laughing. With all kinds of issues going on in his life. No water and a burned up hot water heater, he's not had water in a few months now, he still finds reasons to laugh, smile and make others do so to. You'd think with water issues, health issues, legal issues and no public assistance he'd be just a grumpy bitter ole man. He's not, he is always smiling and welcomes the opportunity to reach out to help others in any way he can.

He inspires me and makes me grateful for what I do have and for the opportunity to help others as I can as well.

So spending time with this ole guy and listening to his stories and his parables makes me smile.

My boss called me up out of the blue and asked if I wanted my hair buzzed. She had an hour and a half to kill. She just left a bit ago - and I am freshly shorn. Have to love a multi-talented boss.

We bought tickets to Women’s Weekend on the Russian River in May! We also booked a cottage so we do not need to drive. Yay!

Is anyone else from the site planning to attend? Tickets for Friday-Sunday are only $35.00.
