A little peace in a world that won't stop talking.
Had a tense, busy morning seeing my hospice patients. It just seemed like all of their needs were bearing down on me. I remembered our small chapel on the grounds of our church sanctuary. Stopped in and no one was in there. I was able to sit peacefully and meditate. What a difference it made in my heart and my attitude. That made me smile today.

The kindness of a client...
She left me a note thanking me for doing such a good job...and left me chocolate goodies as well! She and her husband own one of the gooder chocolate stores in the Asheville area. I'm one lucky girl! |
Only having to work a half day today and getting to start my 3-day weekend early.
Also, the pool is warming up and I may chance a swim this weekend. :rubberducky: |

:) :) :) Knowing my beautiful girlfriend will be here in 4 days. Our separation spans keep growing shorter and shorter which makes me smile! Soon, we will be going on our epic 3,000 mile road trip (with baby Smudge riding along!). I can't wait!!! :-)

Coming home to a clean place after being "out in the wild". I am also smiling remembering the past few days... I feel refreshed, centered, and ready for the week to come. I need to take time for me like this more often.

Smiling...my mom calls me right after she is released from the hospital, concerned if I was flooded.
It rained for over 8 hours here. It was not a peaceful night at all. Lighting, thunder, hard steady rain, weather alerts every 30 min on the phone. Flood watch, flood warning, tornado watch, lighting strike locations..not much sleep. It was interesting, that one cat sat at the window and watched, the other two,hiding! Lol |
I just signed up for a beading class on Friday. I'm so excited! If I like it, maybe I'll take some more until I get the hang of it and can make pretty sparkly stuff on my own. And in addition to adorning myself, it will be really nice to know how to do that so I make gifts for friends, too. Yay!

A random conversation with a stranger at the grocery store about Bush's baked beans. I was not even anywhere near the bean aisle, so it was very random. Apparently they make a really good new hickory flavored can of beans. Delicious straight out of the can she said. :)
