Special supper plans with a close femme friend, here at home. We went out to a little heard of place that specializes in authentic Chinese cuisine. Fabulous time, catching up on private aspects in our lives. For her: her eldest daughter's marriage held in the Mexican riviera and now expecting their first child. For me: upcoming plans to announce our engagement, this fall.

Lots of smiles, and tears of happiness.

Ending a fun filled day with awesome food on the grill & cold bud light...while siting in front of a warm & relaxing fire..& my pocket vibrates..(evil grin).. Reach ib my pocket pull out my phone & see a "goodnight & sweet dreams" with a pic. Of her beautiful smile.. Yep.. That made me smile... Life is good...

A response I received to a note I sent - and the really cool librarian at the Library. That job totally suits her.

-Being with my family. Spent the day shopping with my mom for a graduation �� gift for my nephew.

-Getting a hug from my nephew when we left his graduation �� party.

Fun Home 's Success Defines the 2015 Tony Awards
 

Fun Home, the musical adaptation of Alison Bechdel's graphic-novel memoir, won the night at Sunday’s Tony Awards, a triumph that capped a groundbreaking ceremony where women collected trophies in every creative field. Fun Home's composer Jeanine Tesori and lyricist/book writer Lisa Kron made history as the first female writing team to win in their categories, and despite rave reviews, Fun Home's wins were a genuine surprise, upending industry predictions that had tapped a stage version of the 1951 film An American in Paris as the favorite because of its potential as a national touring production.

Along with Fun Home’s success, the ceremony, broadcast on CBS live from Radio City Music Hall, saw women accept trophies for Direction of a Play (Marianne Elliott for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time), Scenic Design of a Play (Bunny Christie for the same production, along with Finn Ross), Costume Design of a Musical (Catherine Zuber for the revival of The King and I) and more.

It felt like an inadvertent rebuke to the homogenous slate of nominees offered by the Academy Awards this year, and an advertisement for the creative diversity that seems to be on an upswing this year on Broadway.

Only nine women have won a Tony for directing—but that’s eight more than have won an Oscar in the same category, and 33 percent of this year’s Tony-eligible shows were directed by women this year, compared to 13 percent the year before.

Helloooooo Greek Pizza! We are good friends :) I need to become better acquainted with that brewing company's beer though...

Getting to put on comfy lounge pants and a very lightweight tank top that still have that new feeling.

Finding a shirt my girlfriend left behind in the hamper and wearing it to bed! It still smells like her. Yay! :)

My coworkers! Since I transferred stores, its been quite an adjustment for me. I'm loving the Jacksonville, FL area and thinking if moving here.

Thinking about this toothache

A friend of mine is going through a bad break up and we were able to talk about it today. She is where I saw myself before, where I thought I was never going to be ok. Being able to reflect on my own experiences, give her advice and assure her that it gets more than better, it gets incredible was an empowering feeling. she smiled, I smiled...... Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile :-)

A lot of good news via email and phone calls today! Getting ready to watch my daughter graduate from sixth grade. Two more days of work... students getting so excited for pride!! Oh, and winning on a scratch ticket.

Seeing her plane come in for a landing! Finally!!!!

Getting ready to spend 2 weeks with my babe camping up the coast! I hope Smudge and Romee will behave during our trip :) They have never camped before, so it will be an interesting adventure! Looking forward to camp food, s'mores and cuddling under the stars with my love. I am a lucky lady! <3

I don't usually smile when I write a big check, but today was different

just a few minutes ago ...
it was a safe capture and safe release ...

I have lots of thick woods over the back fence ... before last sat night a week ago, I would leave the back door a little bit open for my pocket pittie to come in ... she always wanted to stay out a little longer than my other dog on last pee call before bedtime .... I think this is when teenager opposum #1 sneaked in ... he was easy to escort out of the kitchen with a water bottle sprayer. Now I think he had a brother that came in with him. A little while ago, there was a teenager #2 opposum in my bathtub. I but a plastic bucket over him, gently slid a large wooden disk underneath him, took him outside and eased him onto a large tree limb over the back fence. Told him to spread the word to his buddies not to come into my house again. Gotta love a happy ending! ;)
