If anyone curls/straightens their hair with an iron/curling iron/wand, what thermal styling/polishing products do you use to smooth the cuticle and protect hair from heat damage? Any favorites or even ones to avoid?

Thanks!

I looked in here thinking this was a thread about "making up" after a disagreement. And for those of us who like making up after fighting..which is all of us....mostly.

The best exfoliant in my opinion is just baking soda and lemon juice! Omg! It's better than any $50 exfoliant I have ever bought in the past. I just use like 2 tablespoons of baking soda and squeeze a Lemon in it, and wash my face with it.

Also, lemon juice and egg white masks. Heaven!

Homemade Natural Bronzer Recipe

Ground cinnamon
Ground nutmeg
Cocoa powder
Cornstarch
An empty, sealable container

What you do:
Mix the ingredients together – it’s as simple as that!
Play around with different amounts of each to reach your desired color. If the color is too light, add more cocoa powder.
If you want more of a glow, add more cinnamon. :)

That's a totally beautiful idea, VintageFemme:

Last fall, when I was running low on my favorite face powder,
I added a bit of powdered cocoa and cinnamon to what I had left
in the Physician's Formula container and it worked like magic.

The smell was heavenly, too.

Alterna | Caviar Mousse + SeaSilk moisturizing shampoo & conditioner

My favorite products to use for washing and conditioning my hair and for styling purposes, I love, love, love, their Caviar Mousse - there's nothing like it, that works like it does for my baby-fine, curly hair.

E.L.F. cosmetics & Healthy Sexy Hair professional hair products

I've been using E.L.F. cosmetics, lately, because they are cruelty-free and if I remember correctly, it's vegan too. I use the illuminating face primer, the deep moisturizer, their clay-based eye shadow palettes and their matte lip sticks. I love it, a lot.

For hair styling products: I've been using Healthy Sexy Hair products. Their Surf Rider hairspray, the Fresh Hair Mimosa/Moonstones Mousse and their hair styling paste. I let my hair air-dry most often because it's so curly. I love how this product like leaves my hair looking so pretty.

I've been using Benefits lash primer for years. Its perfectly dark brown for me. I don't use black mascara, I'm just too fair skinned. It always made me look like I had to much makeup on. I'm a less is best kinda gal
