I missed the nuns, dangit
I got to see the Vintage Carriage ride, they do look very happy. |
I did get to see the part where the Princes entered the Abbey. Was it just my imagination or did they both look really nervous
|
I love Prince Harry, he's the wild child.
|
I absolutely adore him as well :) You can sure tell he is Diana's son
|
Thought Harry's uniform was awesome. I always love the full military uniforms, and was cool to watch the royal guard.
The hats are fucking ridiculous...particularly Princess Eugenie's... She looks like she's going to a masquerade, lol. |
I loved the horses carriages and how the smile at one another AND husband and husband walking to the ceremony.
Now this particular matriarch is going to the beach!! Thank you all for this peaceful morning and Kobi thanks for starting the thread. |
Oh! The McQueen! The lace! The Grace (Kelly)! The Bustle! The Drape! The Tiara!
And the hats (bar the Princesses', those were pretty kooky)!!! |
Lots of Canadian flags about on tv. Coolness. I wish the Queen could abolish Stephen Harper. She'd be doing us a service.

I have a bit of a wedding fetish - so did watch some at 7 this morning -- mostly to see the dress - GORGEOUS! So glad it's a McQueen.
But I do not understand those bizarre sculptural hats that sit perched on foreheads in awful pastel shades. And the Queen's yellow suit - um....eek! |
Was Princess Beatrice wearing the hat that looked like some sort of cookie cutter? beige and stood straight up? She had way too much eye make up on - I think both of those girls did.
Kate's dress was lovely, I thought. I'm amused that Harry has more medals than William. The Queen looked like she had a yellow cake on her head. Pippa looked nice - although I don't understand why she was wearing white. Or is that just a North American thing? |
Ok that was fun. Think I like Royal weddings cuz of the pagentry, the elegance, the tradition, the history, the order, the precision......I like it. And I like an orderly, respectful crowd. (Take notice next city to win a major American sporting event). Thanks for partaking everyone. Have a good day. |

Took my housemate to the hospital early this morning for her outpatient surgery so I was able to catch the royal wedding there while in the waiting room.
It was very nice, and it kept me awake |
i fell asleep. i saw the guests arriving live, but that was it.
i did just watch some rebroadcast and some highlights on the Youtube Royal Channel. My favorite part was the carriage ride back. i love the horses and carriages. And even the Queen looked excited. i swear Phillip looks more like an old turtle all the time. The wedding dress was lovely, but none of the other clothes wowed me. The service was a bit archaic, and i couldn't help thinking of Sir Elton and his partner sitting there with all the talk about marriage being between a man and a woman. The guy who actually performed the service can say a prayer, i'll give him that. The sermon, given by the more full of himself dude, was lame. When they were exchanging vows, i liked how William had to stop himself from smiling when she was reciting her vows. i don't think she can look at him without him feeling pretty juiced. i read once that she is a very warm person. i am glad he has that. His mom was, but so few of the royals seem to be. And they haven't looked for that in their partners. Thinking of Edward. So, anyway, good for them. Mazel Tov! |
I actually liked most of the hats except for that ginormous bow-shaped cookie cutter thing. (Did make me wonder if Lady Gaga was in attendance. :|)
|
The wedding was lovely and I absolutely loved it that they drove themselves from the Palace to Clarence House, complete with a license plate that read, "JU5T WED".............LOVE!

And here I thought Aretha Franklin's hat (with that huge hideous bow) was over the top when she sang at Obama's Inauguration ceremony. This one took the "cake" no pun intended....Ok, ok...PUN INTENDED :p |
LOL her hat was pretty crazy looking, I liked it, but then again I like different, and people that dare to be.
|
Was there anything in the wedding hoopla that paid tribute to the grooms mother, who I feel would love the new daughter in law.
