I don't know if anyone might be interested in this, a girlfriend was telling me about at work today & I think it sounds kinda cool. The Fort Worth Modern hosts an Oscar Watching Party on the night of! It's very formal, red carpet, blahblah. People are encouraged to dress up like the nominations or in red carpet style. It's free and they do televise the show in the auditorium as I understand it, no tickets needed. They have drinks [cocktails I think] and snacks available for purchase. Here's a link to it: http://www.dfw.com/2012/01/31/570359...ty-modern.html She says this will be her third year going and that it's a lot of fun. The Modern is a beautiful museum, fairly new as well being only a few years old. I would get to wear my new 'fancy' gown too, that I've been lounging around in at my apartment!

Ok ladies and gents I did a look up on google the Oscars are on Feb. 24th, 2013. I just need to know the times everything as I will be driving back from Austin. But I think about 3 weeks from now I should be able to wear pants like my tuxedo. I just can't wear jeans right now due to the crotch seam.

Here is the link to the event calender at the Modern for the party: http://themodern.org/films/upcoming/...he-Modern/1789 It says it begins at 6pm. I'll ask my friend who turned me on to this at work, if arriving earlier is better. She did say that it's this big deal w/ a red carpet everyone walks on to enter and they make it all Oscar like *LoL* I think it sounds like a blast and there's plenty of time to plan.

MsM 01-30-2013 03:54 PM

Aw man, I can't make it that weekend. I'll be up there the 1-3rd and 15-17 of February.

Maybe next time!

VintageFemme 02-08-2013 11:19 PM

Okee, does anyone want to do the Oscar party thing? I took off that Sunday and Monday [just in case it got really fun! LoL] and I have my red carpet gown and I am good to go. Er um, but I need a date/escort/group etc
I really don't wanna do it alone, please don't make me do it alone... [insert really sad pouty face here]

I want to go I just need to know the times, so I can be back in town in a timely manner from Austin... I will have to go to work on Monday, so I may have to leave early if you are ok with that.

Well Midland is about 4 Hours away from the DFW area, perhaps we could meet downtown somewhere, but not sure if you want to drive that far? I will be having foot surgery a few days before, so I won't be driving long distances.

I am going to send out a message to some friends on Facebook that have had back work done here in the Dallas area and whatever information I obtain I will pass it on to you. I hope you feel better soon, I can't imagine how uncomfortable you must feel.

I do appresheate any information you can find. All I did was turn around in bed then everything shifted like ratleing chains, the injections is only a partial solution to this I hope I can find a better way to deal with it,I will be glad when Tuesday comes...The only reason its taken so long is because one of my meds has an asprin diritive in it wich acts as a blood thiner so with the injections it to prevent bleeding after the shots,so i'm off my arthritis meds till this is dome wich only adds to my pain issue...gotta be a better way.
