Thank you so much to everyone who participated and supported all of the events! And thank you so much for sharing your experiences, photos and thoughts. I had an amazing time at the Albuquerque Rally with my friends. It was definitely needed to lift my spirits up, know there are millions of people around the world who will stand up for justice and rights for all, and to keep fighting and never be silent!

Always late....

I was in Portsmouth NH. The "official" count was 6,000 while we had a second rally in Concord.

I had to park two miles away and couldn't get up near the podium but we had great speakers. The biggest message here was "the few won't control the many".

I am extremely shy and didn't talk to too many people but the few that I did talk to were very nice.

Sorry I'm posting late Bully.

These signs are great! Providence is quite small in comparison to some of the other cities marched on and reports are not verified but there were definitely thousands that showed up at the state house on Friday. I'm proud of this little state.

Alas, it was.

I say a big fat no.

WTF? Now people wonder if they can punch someone for their geesh, can I even bring myself to call them beliefs?

Self-defense is one thing. This is quite another. Self-righteous violence?

I say this even though my maternal grandmother's extended family was killed by Nazi's in Poland and Austria (carted to the camps).

IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT OK

but i would rather not say how many times i let the clip loop and cackled my ass off

but no its bad. Very bad.

C0LLETTE 01-23-2017 10:22 AM

Very bad or very very very bad?

I won't be maligning another woman again ( if you see it that way ) but I did find this ironically funny. in another form it was a March poster. No reason to think she isn't as victimised as other women ... so no more from me on this.

FireSignFemme 01-23-2017 05:22 PM

I don't think someone punching a Nazi man for protesting, even spewing hate speech, is funny at all. If someone walked up and punched a Separatist woman in the face for holding up a sign raging and rallying against men, advocating/calling for the death of them all, would that be funny?

It's a sad fact that violence can be both wrong and hilarious at the same time.

I don't actually claim to be a nice person though so I am not conflicted about my reaction.

I've marched on Washington many times, but I never felt what I felt on Saturday. It was glorious. I resonate with the above posts about finally feeling hope again for the first time since the election. There were so many young women at the March. I got chills, and not because I was cold. It was actually warm enough for me to be outside for the whole day. Whew!

I don't have the skills to share a photo, but my sign said:

GRAB BACK!
FIGHT BACK!

NEVER GO BACK!

Besides my motorcycle club colors, I wore a rainbow feather boa, and I gave out rainbow leis to my Siren sisters, all also wearing our bad-ass motorcycle club patch. We weren't wearing pussy hats, but we did look fabulously gay. One of our signs said, 'Bykers Against Trump'. Several marchers told us how happy they were to see us because news media had been featuring a group which called itself Bikers For Trump, which had been pugnaciously declaring their intent to protect that idjit from whoever it is they think might threaten him. I was proud to be marching with a racially diverse group of women, and relieved that the leadership and message of the DC March was inclusive enough to draw a very diverse crowd.

The gorgeous variety and creativity of the sea of pussy hats in DC was impressive, but the most remarkable pussy hat moment was when I came upon a street vendor who was actually selling pink polar fleece knock-offs. I nearly hurt myself laughing to see that giant dude calling out to the assembled marchers, "PUSSY hats. Get your PUSSY HATS here".

I've been inspired to see the photos of worldwide marches and demonstrations. I loved the photo of the women in Antarctica, but one of my absolute favorites was of an elderly Japanese woman in a wheelchair whose sign said she had been interred for her race, and that we would never go back. Can someone with more advanced skills share that here if you come across it? Please and thank you.

Many many on-point and original signs from the marches, but I do believe this is my favorite. This is a two-fer, also nails the necrophiles from the NRA.

Maybe it's wishful thinking but I think she and Donald may split up. Did you see how he treated her when they were entering the White House for tea with the Obamas? He left her and was walking in the door by himself until he realized he had left her behind. The Obamas had already taken her by each arm to gently escort her in...I mean, how gauche can he possibly be? I kind of feel for her.

I noticed that also. I think he may love her in his own way, but Donald loves Donald (and work) first. Maybe, sadly, she's used to it or accepted it for the obvious perks of marrying him. In my opinion, she's no trophy but a highly intelligent woman with a naturally reserved manner. Despite having lived here for several years, she seems much more "European reserved" than American.

Anything we come up with is simply a guess.

She may be a trophy, may not.

Regardless, I feel sorry for her.

Since I never know what goes on behind anyone's closed door; I will only post this:

"Trump says cheating on Ivana with Marla was 'beautiful' in 1994

BY CAMERON JOSEPH
NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Saturday, October 8, 2016, 1:00 PM

WASHINGTON — If Donald Trump hadn't been caught red-handed he likely would have kept on cheating on his first wife, he admitted in a 1994 interview obtained by the Daily News."

I was feeling sorry for her too, but I have to admit that this article gave me some things to consider (comments are interesting as well). Anyway, just passing it along:

Very good point.

Perhaps we have just been projecting feelings/motives/perspectives that are our own.

She is hardly an innocent victim that did not know what she was getting into as wife number 3.
