DomnNC 09-30-2010 09:53 PM

You're quite welcome squeak, can't have a fellow boiled peanut lover jonesing, lol.

ravfem 09-30-2010 09:55 PM

:hangloose:

The_Lady_Snow 09-30-2010 10:00 PM

Snow does not care for the boiled peanut

*waves hi guys and gals and zi's and
anyone else*

DomnNC 09-30-2010 10:05 PM

Well squeak, apparently that dude isn't shipping at the moment due to illness. So here's another website that ships green peanuts or you can get em boiled already as well.

http://www.hardyfarmspeanuts.com/

Enjoy!

dixie 09-30-2010 10:06 PM

Don't forget, y'all...for those of you in the upstate (or wherever, depending on how far you like to drive...lol), Blue Ridge Pride will be held in Asheville NC this Saturday Oct 2. Come on up and play with us... :D

DomnNC 10-01-2010 06:28 AM

lol ravfem, it finally got to ya eh? whereabouts in SC are you driving up from if ya don't mind me asking.

dixie 10-01-2010 08:15 AM

I just have to say, I am soooo not a fan of the boiled peanut either, but I love seeing the stands by the road. Especially driving down 25 from Asheville to Greenville there are so many of them. It would feel weird not to see all the little "boiled p-nut" signs...lol :)

lipstixgal 10-01-2010 08:19 AM

Never had the boiled peanut but now I am interested in these wee beasties I'm a northerner so maybe that is why and we don't have good cornbread either not like the one in the cast iron pan with a crust now that's cornbread!! LOoking forward to moving out of NJ soon yeah

Thank you!
Since moving to NC, I've enjoyed many regional NC and SC treats, especially the really dark homegrown local honey and Carolina Gold BBQ Sauce (OMG!! That stuff is AWESOME!) ....but boiled peanuts are not on my list of "things worth having again" (no offense intended)....unless maybe my housemate would smother them in Gold BBQ sauce and the texture was different?

Until then, Sweet and her sweet tooth will look for other NC and SC treats to enjoy ;) ;)

morningstar55 10-01-2010 10:13 AM

afternooners everyone....... hmm to bad there isnt a ahh NC/SC combination thread....
I cant wait to get moved down that way.... wooHoo
but will be there soon. Via me truck... haha

Blade 10-01-2010 06:23 PM

While you're at it, you might want to check your muffler bearings before hitting the road.

Pride Charlotte is today

http://www.pridecharlotte.com/

WOW Pride Charlotte and Asheville are today. I thought Charlotte was at the end of the month. Wish I could go to both but won't be able to attend either this year, as I have a busy day today.

Actually, the type of peanuts used for boiling grow in the ground underneath a plant, chuckles, not on a tree.

Here's a link if anyone is interested.

Blade 10-02-2010 06:40 PM

Get Damon a sand box. Peanuts grow best in sand, believe me if you had to pull peanuts very long you'd be glad to pay for them any day any way. I wish I had a dime for every Tater I've picked up and all the peanuts I've pulled.

Just buy them EF you will not be happy growing them LOL However I might just haul in some sand and see if I can grow a row or 2 next year.

DomnNC 10-02-2010 07:12 PM

A chocolate tree eh? I think I've seen one or two of those, except they were made for some occasion or something.

ravfem 10-02-2010 07:47 PM

i am all about growing a chocolate tree!!

Heck, let's grow an orchard of'em!! We'll replace the peach/ass with a chocolate tower!

With the weather getting cooler, I see hot cocoa for those wanting to partake
Nothing better than homemade hot cocoa and friends to share it with
