Oh, and as a fun part...I got RainbowChick07 to join me, so we mixed our passions together into one piece. =)

Awesome! For more fragile things, bubble wrap is an excellent protectorant.

YAY

Actually, this is going to be my only post until long after the post office is closed (at least on the East Coast), so if someone needs my addy, I hereby give Diva permission to give it out for the purpose of this project. I'm glad you that took that initiative, Pixie!

How bad is it if I didn't get mine mailed today? I went to the post office TWICE today, but the lines were crazy and I had to get back to work.

I promise to go back tomorrow and wait in line no matter how long it takes and I'll mail it priority so that it will get to you super fast!

Please don't make an example of me because it's not postmarked Feb. 1st!!!

You're going to Hell in a handbasket. The true cruelty? It's NOT a decorated one. Not even little streamers on the side.

*shakes head*

You're fine as long as I get them in my hands by Saturday, the 6th. Those that come after Saturday won't be included, no ifs ans or buts about it. I'm repackaging everything over the weekend and will mail them out first thing Monday morning (Feb. 8th). If something is in my mail on Monday, tough tomatoes.

I didn't used to be this way, but I know I'm not the only wrangler frustrated with folks who blatantly lie and say, "It's in the mail!" (I'm not a debt collector, people!) or "I'm working on it! It's coming...etc" and then NOTHING comes from them. Ever.

There is one person like that who signed up for this project. I hope that that person comes through this time or I will....if Diva and you all ever let me wrangle again that is....automatically take them OFF of any project I wrangle in the future. I will also call this person out for wasting my time, both as a wrangler and as a participant, as well as wasting everyone else's time too since they made a piece of work for that person. Not to mention that it's just not FAIR to any of us who did take the time and effort to complete the round.

Now, understand that I'm saying this after YEARS of this behavior. Years. Not just one or two projects. Years.

So, no....being a day behind won't hurt you. Just please make sure that it arrives no later than 5 days from now or 4 working days from now. :)

I will make sure it's there. I worked way too hard on this to not get to use them now!!!

This is only the second time I've participated, but there was a big delay waiting for one person last time and I was so anxious to see what everyone had done. It's good to know there won't be a long wait this time.

Nope. I've done that before and it's just not fair to the rest of the participants. Besides, if we wait too long, the anticipation dies down and that's not fair either. I like that part the BEST I think! :)

I will post in here when everything goes out so you all will know to be on the lookout for your goodies.

We typically actually finish one round before delving into another one. Miss Diva will be wrangling the next one, though, so I know it's going to be fabulous!

Today, I received packages from the following:

Softness
Pixie
Ami
Tommi (and I can definitely do what you asked!)
Logicaly and Rainbowchick

Everyone (but ami--and she is sending me a handmade card, so neener neener to the rest of you!:smelling-flower:) sent money. Logicaly, what you sent should be fine. You and rainbow did great!

Everyone has done something completely different and very exciting. You all are going to be very pleased with your own and everyone else's work.

Fantastic job!

Logicaly 02-03-2010 02:54 PM

Sweet I'm glad to hear that they arrived okay. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I enjoyed making them.

I'm sure you did great softness. It was my first time participating too and it was a little intimidating for me as well especially since I'm sure mine is less paper and more something else. I think its more so about just sharing your creativity with everyone no matter how it comes out and in what form. It is art after all and left open for interpretation.

Hello Crafty Ones. I am not so good with the crafts. I want to be! I am going to read this thread from the beginning so I can understand what to do. My question though is Gemme you are going to the reunion? Could we plan a couple of hours to get crafty there? That would be super fun!

Softness, it's not about what's the 'norm' around these parts. It's whatever fits in the parameters given by the wrangler and what you come up with. Nothing illegal or dangerous, of course. What you did was lovely!

I've fallen kinda hard for the "card" type of project. Throw in my recent recycle, reuse, reduce phase and you all are receiving other people's MAIL....only in my style. So, I took postcards and flyers and whatnot that came to my work and home and I played with paint and all kinds of good, crafty stuff and...well....you'll see it when you get it. It's definitely not going to be exhibited in a museum one day, but it's fun and easy for me to do and won't cost a bazillion to mail.

I can't wait til folks see yours! I wonder if it will take them as long as it did me to actually "see" what you'd done. :giggle: No telling, though! They are going to have to figure things out themselves or ask you once all the packages go out.

Hi, Julie! No need to go back to the beginning, unless you just feel like it. We're coming to the end of the current project. Soon, Miss Diva will announce the next project, as she is the designated wrangler. I, however, am on call for her if some of you ruffians get out of hand. :eyebrow:

So, bear with us for a week or so and we'll have a sign up for the new project. I think I'm safe saying that we would all love to have you participate!

As for doing something like this at the reunion, that is certainly feasible. I will be driving down, so I could bring some basic goodies with me in my car or someone could mail a box of their supplies to the hotel too. It's possible. Maybe we can revisit this idea a little later? I think it has promise.

Ami, I got the card today!

Cara, I didn't receive your work yet, but I had to go into work waaaay earlier than I expected today. It may very well be waiting for me when I get off. Or tomorrow. I'm not worried as long as it makes it way to me before Saturday afternoon! :)
