wow...getting the mail feels like the bonus round these days.

i have a few more folks i need to send cards to...had to get more prints and make some cards. working out in the heat is kicking my butt and when i get home, i don't want to do much of anything. perhaps a cold shower at the end of the day will liven me up enough to put sentences and addresses on cards tonight.

ya did good, jo....this makes the days end up on a high note.

Lipstixgal, when I lived in NY, the Brooklyn Bridge was one of my favorite places to see. It speaks of history and hard work to me. The kinda ideals are in it that make this country great! :) I love the brick work..and the work that went into it! :) Thanks for the card!!

I mailed a few cards Monday and a few today for the addresses on the list JustJo sent me.

Today, I received one from Chancie (love the robot) and 1Playfulfemme (love canoeing).

Last night I started at the top of Jo's list and made out the first three postcards. I used to collect a certain type of postcard when I traveled, and so I had a few laying around. So now I get to share those with each of you. And for those who receive them, yes I know I put too much postage on. :) I'm trying to use up stamps that I never seem to use for anything else these days. Ha.

At some point I'll whip out my creative side (like Wil) and start sending photo postcards. Wil's postcards have always been a bright spot in my mailbox, and the little freckles enjoy them, too!

This is such a simple yet smile-inducing practice. Thanks y'all!

um i go to the mailbox today..get excited bc theres a postcard...walking to the house i realize its from that troublemaker Lil Ms Sunshyne whom sent it to jo ONLY :wtf:...so im scratching her off MY list. Does T know ur a troublemaker young lady?!?!?!?

sending a few more cards out today. i still need to threadstalk a couple folks, so i can find something appropriate.

it's been really great getting all these cards! i've been thinking maybe i need to put them all together into some big-ass sort of collage or something. or, i guess i could just find frames for them all and put them in the stack of other artwork to be hung (someday).

jo, i have a "special" card i'm sending out to you today. consider it a bonus for setting this whole dealio up.

Thanks for the Jersey Shore A2L...always brings fond memories. My son and I went there every year while we were in NY...it was our annual visit to the ocean. Always stayed in the same little mom & pop motel in Wildwood Crest...good stuff.

We had a fantastic time in Cherokee, NC and have sent out the first set of postcards from there! Ran out of stamps mid-send on the second set, so those will post from home tomorrow!! We bought a few extras in case anyone joined while we were gone, so glad we did!! :)

Sunshyne & T! LOVED it!!!!! The cutest lil groundhog ever! (Which, btw, Jessie LOVES groundhogs!) We can't pass one without her going "Groundhog!" *G* And the picture on the back of the postcard is gorgeous!!!! I haven't found any yet with different pictures on the back than on the front!!

Wimsy! What are the odds that you grew up close to us? No one on earth knows where our lil town is! And the postcard is beautiful! What a view! I love that so much of the town is within walking distance to the marinas!!

Dutch Leonard! I took an amazing picture of corn fields in Ohio last year - your card reminded me of that trip! :) It's amazing to see how much land they cover!!! I love it when they are all you can see!

A2L! Your card is so peaceful! I adore old mills and waterwheels! The picture is beautiful!!!!

Wolfy- oil rig. This one time when I flew into Oklahoma City, we saw our first oil rig near a runway at the airport.

I realized today that I not only love getting them (so much fun each day wondering if we got a new one!!), but they were super fun to shop for!! I have yet to buy all one style..perhaps someday! :) I like trying to fit each one to a personality..or what I think might fit a person! :)

And! We got another one today!! The most gorgeous wildflowers from Wolfy! In this field of purple phlox is a black eyed Susan...It commands your attention! And the poem was lovely (and so true!)!!!! Thanks for the thought!!
