I have lived in a tropical climate most of my life, and in doing so, I have become accustomed to living a rather laid-back, slow, & easy going lifestyle.
Once I had to retire, I gave up having to be "on" all the time, and as several others have commented, I sure as hell do NOT need to be "connected" all the time either!!!! In fact, I do not have my laptop on all the time & some days I do not even go online. I do keep my cell on vibrate when I nap or sleep. If anyone needs me, they can reach me during the hours of 1000am & 800pm. Period!! lol I ENJOY having a quiet, laid back space! It is suitable & conducive to me! |

Low 80's and no rain. :cheesy: Walking in a downpour to the car and tornado warnings was not a fun way to end the workday yesterday. |
In contract to dee, I am enjoying today's rain. It's going to allow me to stay home, in my jammies and not make my bed with absolutely zero guilt.

It's been that kind of day. I enjoy time off but it would have been helpful to have at least part of the day free from the rain so I wouldn't be lazy alllllll day long. |

Watermelon sherbet. It's sweet but not too sweet and refreshing without being heavy.

I enjoy what I just did: Finishing reading a thriller while out on my back porch in the dark with a lantern for light, listening to the river beyond my back yard. Only thing that would have made it better would have been a small glass of wine but I'm on call so, no wine.

I enjoy waking up to good morning texts and going to bed the same way.. I enjoy a good hot shower.. rainy days to snuggle.. and I enjoy a good football game
