The cats and I have spending some quality time together this past week. And well, big boy Mortgage, has made me smile more often than not. He went to the vet emergency room, two weeks ago. He is still sporting a shaved leg, where the IV was. It really looks like a boot! A Barbie boot...skinny leg, big furry snow boot!

5:00 late afternoon finally arrived and 3 day weekend ahead made me joyful ... I stopped and bought groceries, got the babies 2 kinds of doggie treats and good junk food for me ... I smiled all the way home :)
They have eaten, drank lots of ice water while they played. Beginning to get dark and we are all sitting out back relaxing listening to the forest noises. It just doesn't get any better than this for me! :) |
Oh mY, soooooo many reasons to smile today, especially after I got home!

Remembering this night two years ago when my grandson was born. I hadn't felt that amazing-instant-overwhelming-all-consuming-unconditional-perfect love, since the day my son was born. And then it happened all over again. I'm so excited to go spend his 2nd birthday with him! 🎈

Noticing it was sunny enough to read while laying in the sun and then go swimming. That wonderful sound the wind makes in the tall, old trees. Hot shower. Cold pasta. |

Finishing up my third quilt I made since this hurricane came and never left!
First one was a sweet pink baby blanket size. Second, oh so beautiful, pinks, corals, peaches, lavenders. And this last one, 81 squares X 3, in jewel tones. Turquoise, magenta, purple and green. I decided to put down the phone and iPad, so easy to play games...lol Being productive on this time off, I'm going to sell them! |

The look on mom's face when I left her today.
I went over to her house for a visit. I made her favorite dishes from scratch yesterday (after mowing). It was a feast with lots of leftovers. I also cleaned her house and knocked out some chores that she can't do. When I left she was smiling and nodding off at the same time. 《Smile》 |

Just had a phonecall to say that they've found me an appointment to see a haematologist next Monday, so I won't have to wait until mid-October to be put on blood-thinners now!

Just had confirmation that my student loan has been approved. So as long as the course gets enough applicants and my health holds up sufficiently well, I'll be a student for the next three years! :-)

Got rid of my chickens today. A Chevy Suburban pulled up in the yard full of kids. As the Mom was loading the chickens in the back a wee little voice coming from the only girl in the bunch, said Moma can I hold one on the way home. I smiled then melted
