I've been gone for several days, so when I got home tonight and picked up my mail, I received an huge stack of post cards and cards, all bundled up together by rubber band! Our postal carrier retired from our mail route back in July after nearly 30 some odd years of work for the US Postal Service. It took them about two months to find a permanent mail carrier to replace our mail lady, so it was so nice to see that weeks of mail that was seemingly missing, had finally arrived!

To say I smiled is not nearly as accurate as to say that I Swooooned! But yes, definately, I smiled!!! :)

It's sad to think there may be a whole generation ,soon if not already, who will not know the joy of doing this.........

A koala was sitting in a gum tree...... Smoking a joint, when a little lizard walked past, looked up and said, 'Hey Koala! What are you doing? '
The koala said, ' Smoking a joint; come up and have some. ' So the little lizard climbed up and sat next to the koala, where they enjoyed the weed.
After a while the little lizard said that his mouth was dry and that he was going to get a drink from the river. The little lizard was so stoned that he leaned too far over and fell into the river.
A crocodile saw this, swam over to the little lizard, and helped him to the side. Then he asked the little lizard, 'What ' s the matter with you? '
The little lizard explained to the crocodile that he was sitting smoking a joint with the koala in the tree, got too stoned, and then fell into the river while taking a drink.
The crocodile said that he had to check this out, walked into the rain forest, and found the tree where the koala was sitting finishing a joint. The crocodile looked up and said, ' Hey you! '
So the koala looked down at him and said,
'Shiiiiiiiiiiit, duuuuuude......
How much water did you drink?!! '

Still laughing

Tiny Hedgehog Goes Camping, And His Pics Are The Best Thing You'll See Today

We know you remember Azuki, the tiny Japanese hedgehog who goes on big adventures. His perky ears, button nose, and delightful roundness is just impossible to forget. Well, Azuki recently traded his cozy dream house in for a set of miniature Coleman camping gear and took a trip to the great outdoors. Equipped with his own tent, kayak, and barbecue, he was all set for success, and pretty much had the time of his life. Just looking at his photos makes us want to get our camp on. It also really, really makes us want a hedgehog. Like, right this second.

Finding out that my promotion is MORE than being over the log department it is the Assistant Safety Manager in training to take over the Safety department.

It will be officially announced next month once I get moved here.

Receiving two boxes for Sweetest Day from my honey.

One box was full of goodies like chocolates, a set of makeup brushes, and a pair of tights, and some really nice cards.

The other box was full of Progresso soup! (A couple weeks ago I had been moanin’ and groanin’ about Progresso soup being on sale in her city but not mine.) Too funny!

Lucky me.

Looking across a table at my dear friend's face today.

We have stood shoulder to shoulder through triumph and tears. She really knows me inside and out. We love and respect each other. It has been a great journey and I look forward to the future of our great friendship.

Waking up to hear steam trains going through the local station (about half a kilometre away) in both directions!

Mopsie 10-28-2017 05:48 AM

Well technically it was yesterday but ... a visit from family. :)

My nieces are 9 and 6. While they will talk on the phone the conversations are often short and distracted. In person is much better!

Every fall my brother and sister-in-law come into town to go to homecoming at JMU. We meet up for dinner which I always look forward to and while it's short and sweet it always make me smile!

:) :) :) :) :)
