Number crunching at midnight for friends weddings, another NY trip and our wedding and finding we are still on track for everything without a lot of additional stress.

Daddi’s wrapping it up and going home tomorrow.

After I got home, fed the pups, went out and stayed for a while watching them play, I knew I needed some downtime, something mindless to relax me.
I am smiling now. Watched 3 of my favorite Cow & Chicken cartoons. If anyone is interested, here are 3 youtube links to these episodes: https://youtu.be/wZM_51PVtPk https://youtu.be/-gwnrhglkio https://youtu.be/Uk68Pb0lZ5g I love Cow & Chicken Cartoons anytime!!! ;) |

Finding out that my folks are buying me a new mattress and box spring.
I toss and turn every night and am tired all the time, so maybe a better mattress will help. |

Employing my recently found soup-er power again, unaided this time. Oooh homemade definitely tastes better than canned! I wonder what I'll learn to cook next?

Being able to shut my alarm off this morning and go back to sleep....
I forgot to change the days of the alarm since I switched my English class to a Tuesday/Thursday schedule..... :glasses: |
Getting a blessing today!!

There is nothing funny about bad reactions to edible marijuana, even if you are a cop who stole the goodies during a prior drug arrest. Nor is there anything funny about the cops coming to you rescue getting injured in the process.
But, I really want to know how one of the under the influence cops got stuck in a tree. :) Two cops suspended after allegedly eating marijuana edibles while on duty |
Snowy Egret rookery
An almost "eye level" sighting each evening of the snowy egrets as they return to roost in their rookery a few feet from my window. I love watching them each evening come in to roost and depart each AM to forage for the day. I have enjoyed this spectacle for several years in most places I have lived.
My deceased partner & I enjoyed this for several years prior to her death. Now I see it as a sign, she is telling me she is always near & protecting me. |
I was in Walmart today picking up a few things. In the checkout line the older guy behind me had this bag of really big googly eyes. So, me being me, of course I had to ask him about it. He got this mischievous grin on his face and said he was going to pull a prank on his wife and put googly eyes on all the food in the refrigerator. I got a good laugh out of that.
As I was walking away from the checkout a man saw me laughing and said, "You have a great smile - it makes me think you know something I want to know!" That made me grin even bigger! |
What Made you smile today
The beginning of a new month

The simple act of making toast in my 1940s toaster for which I paid $2 at a tag sale in Northampton Massachusetts in 1989. It still works like a champ, even without, or perhaps specifically because it hasn’t any computerized components.

Being asked to fill out a small 'about me' questionnaire for my new job to go with my first day photo so my coworkers can get to know me better (everyone has one posted on the intraweb). It was basic stuff (hometown, favorite hobby, movie, vacation spot and quote) but it felt great to feel included and part of a team :sunglass:
|
Not a one particular thing... the whole day has been smile worthy! Got some errands done... some crafting some... some chatting done... a very productive and satisfying day! I gotta take off from work more often! :koolaid:

Silly conversations.....my friends are hilarious sometimes...and I really enjoy chatting & laughing with them.... |
Lots of reps from one person thread stalking me :balloon:

An overdue appointment with my chiropractor.
An overdue haircut. A phone number with a short but sweet note from my barista, strategically placed on my coffee cup. She gets bonus points for creativity. |
Watching Gene Wilder & Richard Pryor do the Woodpecker Dance in the Movie Stir Crazy.

"Interesting mix..." Well I guess it kinda really is.. Laughed about as hard as when the cashier at Walmart said it when I set down a 8 pack of disposable cameras, a value pack of zip ties, value pack of duct tape and the largest size one can buy of Vaseline..

The Roller Derby World Cup. I adore the derby scene! It's not only about an excellent sport, it's just so full of fun and joy and happiness and good sportsmanship, and supporting good causes - especially encouraging girls to do sports at school and stick with education and suchlike around the world.
And now the World Cup is over, and it's three years until the next one :-( Oh well, I'll just have to make do with the regular inter-league matches and the WFTDA anual finals! :-) |
my other best-friend ^^ he has the same twisted mind than me ^^ god what can't i do to help his ass ^^

Realising that earlier today I learnt the fingering* to "You Came". By a band called The Merry Thoughts. OK, so I've a childish mind, but a snigger's a kind of smile, no?

Survey says.....
A blue sky day. After weeks of grey, misty and cold I am enjoying a soft blue sky and sunshine on my face. Supposed to start raining tomorrow and continue all weekend so appreciating this all the more.
Also smiling because a sweet little Wyandotte hen that was feeling poorly and in quarantine is now doing much better. A friend has a backyard flock and I like to go visit. Katniss~~ I guess you could say the hen has "re-coop-erated". 😄 |
Listening to the guys in the barbershop gossiping.

I opened the mail and a brand new catalog from ULTA, made me smile. I'm going to crack it open soon!!!

I was at a local florist shop looking at funeral arrangements when another woman came in looking for an arrangement as well. We started talking about our loved ones and how they both passed away rather suddenly, and I had said that I actually had forgotten about purchasing a flower arrangement, as I was so focused on getting everything else done. We both went back to selecting our arrangements when she walked over and gave me her condolences and said, "I hope you don't mind, but I put down some money towards your mother's arrangement." The florist also gave me a significant discount, and said "I too know how hard it can be. I hope your mother's memorial is beautiful." All I could do was cry and say thank you.
