My dads twin sister is very ill. Shes in the hospital because her blood sugar keeps dropping almost fatally low. Each time they manage to pull it back up, but they dont understand why it continues to happen.
She has been so upset and discouraged by the whole situation that last night she tried to take her own life. Today is their birthday. My dad got this news this morning at work. When he approached someone at work to talk about things... He was told that the hospital he works for keeps a "sunshine fund" to help get people where they need to be in times of family emergency. They talked to the chaplain, who arranged for my the hospital to purchase a round trip ticket for my dad to spend a week in Nebraska with his sister. My candle is lit for my aunt, and my father, for their birthday, their connection, and their health. |

A thousand candles for my Mom, Dad, sister Jeanne and brother John. I miss you all so much. And for Silly Putty, who gave me the brightest light of all. I will always miss you.
Easter was a time of love, family and closeness for me. Those times are past, yet the memories remain. One really does not know what they have until it is gone. As many candles I light for all of the members in the thread that are dealing with difficulty and have loved ones that are ill, or they have lost. I don't have a Christian celebration of Easter any longer, but I feel rebirth continually all around me in multiple forms. That- I most certainly celebrate! |

I light this candle on the eve of the Easter holiday... so that we may find what that "holiday" means to us. I light it for those that are still finding themselves in the throes of darkness.. with no clear end in sight. I light it because with in us we all carry a flame that burns with the warmth of hope and of better days. Know that you are never alone. That we are here, whether you can see us or not.. open your hearts.. because you will then truly feel us... and in those times when you feel most alone.. .you will know that you truly are not. |

Today Rosie and I are asking for your prayers for Rosie's only sister. She has Barrett's Disease, which has become worse over time. Medicine is no longer working, and surgery is a 50-50 chance at the Mayo Clinic, but she is allergic to most anethisthia. That part is the riskiest part of the surgery, which lowers her survival rate even moreso. My candles and incense are burning for all of us here as always. So many needs. Peace to all. |

For the city of Conway, home of Medusa, and the town of Vilonia, both of which had tornadoes last night. We had a tornado very close to our neighborhood and one in Mayflower, near a waterpark we often go to. Worse, cleanup will hardly begin when here comes round 2 tonight :(.
