Today has been a smiling type of day all the way around. Most of which is centered around My girl and I spending quality time together.

Ordering my wedding ring. It’s gonna happen people!

Realizing that everything happens as it should and that leaves a smile on my face.

I cannot say this one just made me smile, but rather made me down right laugh out loud.

So, it has been very rainy here the past few days and my little dog Pete really does not like the rain. However, when I took him for a walk it was drizzling but enough to make him want to shake off his wet fur. Fast forward to being done with his walk and as I stood outside the door un-clipping his collar he shook as usual. This time he shook so hard his long little tail hit the metal screen door behind him and he scared himself to the point that I had never seen a dog spin around so fast. Then, as I was laughing so hard at his adorable cuteness, he looked back at me and almost smiled back and continued wagging both butt and tail only a step away from the metal screen door.

Then we went in.

I am getting a BRAND NEW great nephew today. His name will be Carter Daniel. He should be here very soon!

Congratulations Mr. Great Uncle W. !!!

Thank you, Mr. R. He is here now. Weighing in at 6 Lbs. 12 oz. He's a cutie!

It makes me smile knowing we will always be in each other's worlds even though not together. That is what happens when you genuinely like the person as a human being.

Going to Barnes and Noble....

I had a hankering to read Walden by Thoreau.

Don’t get me wrong.... I derive IMMENSE satisfaction getting books from Amazon.... but the immediate gratification of finding the book and having it to read (I already perused the forward) is so.... satisfying.

And... I also got a magazine (Pioneer Woman’s ) and a book on how to make herbal skin care products. All for under $20!

Yes, I know. I’m going to capitalist hell. I would honestly rather go to small bookstores. That’s all I ever did in Asheville. They just aren’t as much a thing where I live.

*end rant*

My social worker going to bat for me, a nice lunch with my friend, painting, and hanging out with my Jedi. I've been a busy bee. Oh, I also meditated.

And finding gas! Had to drive forever to find any... everyone thinks it’s the end of the world here in NC. Lol.

Getting a good hair cut ... finally!

The car was serviced too. We are tuned up and ready to roll.

Finally getting a text from a friend in Oklahoma, finding out what is going on with her!

The lights went off then came on then went off then came on and stayed on....at least for now.... so when they decided to stay on. Yes I smiled.

I painting with the best watercolors I have ever owned. And listening to a live Chris Cornell album with my Jedi!

When I heard that the Cajun Navy arrived in North Carolina. They came to Texas during Harvey and really helped us out.

Today was just fantastic all around, and then at the end of the day I came home to my adorable, rambunctious puppies who delight me endlessly.

Seriously, next one who takes a swipe gets a time out. The boards are not a place to take swipes. It's tempting to post when we are aggravated (trust me, I know), but just take some deep breaths or address it privately.
