I'm having a crummy day and wishing I had someone (special) to talk to about it, so I've decided to come back to this site and work towards that. :)

I'm a single 30 year old femme currently living in Upstate NY. I'm a geeky femme looking for an equally geeky butch. If you are a single butch who loves Star Trek please reach out. :) I'm a BBW so you better be able to handle that. ;)

I'm also a mom to my little bunny. She is my everything and we come as a package.

I'm finding it harder and harder to find butch identified women closer to my age, but I still keep holding out hope. Sending positive vibes to anyone else out there that needs it!

A bunny?! :) I see adorable videos about them all the time but never knew anyone who kept one as a house pet. How do they compare to having a dog or cat?

Whereabouts upstate? I was in Rochester for two winters... two was all I could handle. Friggin brrrr! Iol :p

p.s. sorry re the crummy day. :(

EDIT: Oh good grief ... just read your sidebar... you're in Rochester! Iol Disregard last question. ;)

TBH rabbits are not easy pets. I personally think cats and dogs are easier in the long run. With dogs you have to walk them, take them outside and give them lots of attention, but rabbits come with their own difficulties. They are very fragile creatures; if you feed them the wrong food it can cause them to get sick and die. Vets bills tend to be higher than cats/dogs due to their "exotic" classification. However they are adorable and come with their own little personalities. In my old NYC apartment she used to run around the apartment and jump all over couch. It was cute to watch...until she started chewing on it. :)

I grew up in Rochester so I'm used to the winters, though I think Buffalo has it the worst. I personally don't think I could handle Texas. Once it goes above 85 I just kinda...melt. lol Although I've never experienced dry heat for an extended period of time, that's gotta be better than dealing with humidity.

Sounds logical … dogs/cats being easier to deal with on a number of levels. And yet... bunnies are so adorable!!

I actually didn't mind the snow too much. It meant I could plant some really beautiful bulbs … tulips, daffodils, etc... which I really enjoyed come Spring time! I'd def take the cold and snow over heat and yeah, Texas' heat and humidity is pretty miserable. I've never lived in dry heat, like NM or AZ but I'm willing to give them a shot. :koolaid:

I am curious, does your bunny use a litter box?

cutie_pi 10-19-2018 07:32 AM

Yes! She's litterbox trained. She was already trained when I adopted her and she's a good girl and never has accidents. :)

I bet she's a real snuggle bunny. ;)

cutie_pi 10-20-2018 06:55 AM

Actually she hates being touched (most rabbits do). Me on the other hand... ;)

Well, that is something I didn't know.

And it kind of reminds me of my Gracie. She is still part feral and will likely always be. She's very selective about the who/when/why she is touched.

I just never thought that that would be a trait of such a soft and squishy animal.

Sad face.
