Rebel Wilson presenting at the 2020 BAFTA Awards

I just finished watching the BAFTA Awards on TV, and I am only going to highlight here Rebel Wilson, who was only presenting an award; she's a really well-known Brit comedian (who appears regularly on the BBC's The Graham Norton Show - she also acted in Cats, Jo-Jo Rabbit, The Hustle, etc.), and she kinda stole the show with her short little monologue, which had me and the audience rflmao:

It was a headline in yesterday's Seattle Times newspaper that read,

Hang on to your heart and your wallet. Washington high on the list of places where people fall for romance scams.

https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle...tting-scammed/

So I guess it appears to be true "There's no fool like an old fool".

having that all-night "conversation" trying to figure things out...and finally having an ah-ha moment when things just click!

And you start out a normally dismal Monday morning with a BIG smile on your face and people asked if you had a good weekend or sometime...

Teeth

Just came back from the dentist and I am smiling so much - a big toothy grin, it was a root canal on a front upper tooth (well, just off to the side). She is so gentle, and I really like her. Two hours in the chair and no pain, just some discomfort with the freezing, amazing! She and her assistant gossiped for most of the session, about Mormons - dentists they know - I laughed, well, sort of, with my open mouth, ya know. There are only women in her office, and boy, do they like to gossip! (chuckling here)
My dentist talked about some TV show - I think it is/was called "Sister/Wives", she asked me whether I had ever seen it, and no, I hadn't - no way, not interested; all I could do was shake my head a bit from side-to-side. She said how she became so angry watching that show. I understood that, and could only nod my understanding. I really like and trust her. I always find it funny when dentists ask you questions, with your mouth open and all sorts of instruments and things in it.
It got boring and I checked to see if there was anything coming up to meditate upon, but nothing, no thoughts, nothing. That is my usual state. I wake up smiling. What can I say, life is good.
My govt insurance paid for 1/2 of it, and she only charges standard rates. I am so glad I decided to have her do it. :)

Stencil, not pencil.

Come to think of it, a sloth pencil would probably make me smile too.

Now, I found a sloth sweatshirt.

Soooo cute!!!

and soon the mountain laurels will start to bloom. When I first got to Texas, I thought they were wild lavender or hydrangeas.

Orema 03-07-2020 08:38 AM

Coming into work this morning and finding a huge container of disinfecting wipes with a happy-face note on my desk. I requested some wipes yesterday and didn't expect to get any.

I could work from home, but I'd miss most of my deadlines and pull out all what's left of my hair because it's easier and faster for me to work in the office. It helps that many people are working from home and most people coming into the office have to be here.

Big ups to the maintenance crew.

Amongst all of this chaos and uncertainty, my Direct TV has a free 2 week glimpse for a channel called "DogTV."

The music, the dogs are so relaxing. Just leave it on and feel your bp go down.

I've often said that if I ever get to a point where I don't find those T rex costumes funny, just take me out. I would have been on the floor laughing and cheering them on.

My Lol- I gave my daughter, 20 and 3/4 years old, a small glass of wine with her dinner and it's showing. Super cute.

The "Cheer Myself Up, Plan" from earlier this afternoon...

I bought two cookbooks and the DVD set of Clara's Kitchen, for both my mother and I. It's a Mother's Day prezzie to both of us and she has no idea she's getting the cookbook and matching DVD series. LOL, she will be SoOoOooOoOooo surprised and it makes me smile to know that I can surprise her for Mother's Day.

The generosity of local restaurants to seniors

This afternoon a local non profit that brings us a bag of canned goods each month, rolled up & asked..do you want some sandwiches from a national donut chain.....who donated to them 45 cases of simply everything croissants filled with chicken, bacon, and monterey jack cheese.

I got 3 cases, that were evenly distributed to most of our dwellers here....102 sandwiches in all......

I am so appreciative of any & all help we get. I am NOT going to any stores...I order online & then pickup with NO contact!!

Thank you Goddess!
