So far I've addressed Monte's needs and tidied up in the kitchen. The kitchen is in need of serious work due to extreme laziness on my part but I don't want to wake the neighbors. Those directly below are having an extremely unhappy shacking up together thrill of a lifetime achievement award experience. So them making a religion of it everybody gets to be blessed with the sounds of them stomping around, slamming doors and bickering on and off nearly every waking moment of the day. Which is real incentive to be extra super careful quiet, in order to avoid waking them any earlier than is absolutely necessary. I don't know if I'm actually wracking up good karma here for restraining myself but better safe than sorry right? Besides if I tattle they might decide rather than fighting with each other to, in a new found show of solidarity and support for one another, turn and take their frustrations out on me. Go team, go! So even though it's taking extreme effort on my part, for now I'm practicing killing them with kindness and lets just see how that works.

Sunday, check. Morning, not any longer. Overeasy, nope. I got up and got ready and then hit the craft room and storage space, cleaning and shuffling things from one place to the other. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't easy either.

Happy Sunday (way later than morning, though) to everybody!

I had two breakfasts today. (No lunch, though, so I guess one was brunch.) I discovered that Door Dash delivers breakfast! I had sausage biscuits and gravy from Hardee's for breakfast #1, and (six hours later) I had an apple pancake from The Original Pancake House for breakfast #2. I feel okay about it through because I worked hard all day on organizing my bedroom.

Sunday was nice and easy. Coffee in the back yard watching part of the garden turn to fall and part continue to burst like it's July. Splurge breakfast of shrimp and broccoli omelettes (home made) and then a nice bike ride while it was still cool out. I'm officially on vacation now so I plan to make every morning for the next week like that.

~ocean 09-07-2020 03:08 PM

this morning I woke up to sight of apricot and pumpkin tones ~ the sunrise was a true tribute to the up coming fall ~ I looked across the from the bay windows to Jonathan sleeping in his room ~ his olive toned skin and his handsome youthful face cuddled up w/ his dog sleeping beside him. The aesthetic pleasures of a Norman Rockwell era of a growing boy and his dog ,instilled in my soul. The scent of coffee brewing completed the perfect awakening for a spectacular Sunday Morning ~ ocean breezes ~ charismatic coloring ~ earths gifts , temporarily covered life's imperfection we are all facing. ~ stay safe my sweet child. grammy will always be with you.

Happy Sunday, y’all.

Will have a nice and easy Sunday. Minor chores to do.

Need to go over some Medicare documents to decide if I need a plan for prescriptions. I thought I had everything ready for the October 1 switch over but I’m having second thoughts so I need to go over the paperwork again. Might have to call a couple pharmacies.

Will watch AM Joy in the background if Tiffany Cross in on, otherwise I’ll keep the music going.

So far it's been anything but an overeasy Sunday morning! No doubt my blood pressure is sky high and my voice is hoarse from screaming at the Sunday morning news shows and republicans who are back peddling now on when a hearing should be heard to confirm a new Supreme Court Justice!

Later I will finish a letter to Wells Fargo about a matter that has had me up in arms for the past week!

Perhaps I should take two of my blood meds todays..:|

Good morning!

I'm off to work and keeping my eye on the storm. Unfortunately, weather reports say I'm in the flooding and high wind area.

firegal 09-20-2020 02:52 PM

Went and got a early morning Latte and laundry 2 loads. Now gotta make the bed. Kinda cleaning a bit and watching football. Also read the sunday paper!

Have a great sunday!

Loving our Sunday mornings every weekend

She has made Sunday mornings really over easy!!

This incredibly beautiful, kind, gentle loving human being is a phenomenal cook. I am eating mostly vegan, and never knew it was so filling & so delicious. I do occasionally eat some meat (a burger OR Jimmy John's sandwich OR Chipotle Whole 30 chicken bowl). I have lost almost 15 lbs in the few short weeks we have been spending our weekends together.

I am extremely blessed to have Korean dishes as well as Argentinian dishes. WHO knew I would love them so! She dances about in the kitchen as she cooks, we meal prep together, and I even dance with her.....so! much! joy!!!

Thanks, C!!! You are THE love of my life...having been blessed with TWO amazing loves in this life!!

I could sleep in today but my body didn't get the memo dang it. I tried laying here a while but still couldn't go back to sleep. So maybe a little hot chocolate and some law and order will start the day off right. :tea:

Orema 10-04-2020 09:57 AM

It's quiet on the western front and all is well in the femme cave.

Will exercise, pickle some veggies with a new pickling recipe, watch a doc or two on netflix, surf on zillow, talk to family.

Hope it's a pleasant Sunday for everyone.

C0LLETTE 10-04-2020 11:27 AM

Maybe I'll turn off the TV news or watch Dr. House figure out that a 74 year old male patient, who requires oxygen and has underlying heart disease, probably has Covid 19.

It's a two-parter.

easygoingfemme 10-04-2020 05:07 PM

I first woke up to some of my girlfriends at my tent at 3am with a hot toddy singing to me to wake up and drink it, which I did. Then I slept for a few more hours and woke up to sit on the the bank of the Hudson with my best friends, drinking coffee and laughing over the antics of the night before. That was some good medicine there.

Gemme 10-04-2020 07:35 PM

Less overeasy than not rushed, but it worked out in the end.

yes just chill 😏 and with a crazy sun to boot yup breatheeeeee ☺

Gemme 10-18-2020 04:36 PM

Today was the antithesis of overeasy. I got up with the alarm, fed the babies and myself and did the usual morning stuff and then I went into a cleaning frenzy that lasted into the late afternoon.

FireSignFemme 10-18-2020 11:53 PM

Slept in. Addressed Monte's needs. Watched a few episodes of America's Dumbest Criminals. Took a nap. Morning complete, mission accomplished.

That sounds good. I think I'll have the last of the shepherd's pie for breakfast, watch an episode of The Queen's Gambit and get to work on the craft room.

RebelDyke 10-25-2020 01:58 PM

started sunday very early. The weather changed and now it's snowing... but I started meal prepping.. and my poor dog got mad at me for not cooking the steak first. I have been promising him the steak since yesterday.

He survived.

Orema 11-15-2020 05:55 AM

Will have an easy peasy Sunday in the femme cave. No packing, sorting, showing, though I may purge some clothing that no longer fits.

Will probably binge watch CSI on CBS Access since I’m weaning off Pluto TV.

GeorgiaMa'am 11-15-2020 08:41 AM

Happy Sunday morning, y'all -

Yes, this is an early post for me on a Sunday morning. I was rudely awakened by two texts at 7:30 am from a friend who wanted to bounce her Sunday plans off of me. Couldn't get back to sleep, so I had some mushroom quiche and banana bread and cherry juice for breakfast. Changed my sheets. Plan to spend the rest of the day watching Netflix.

Missing having some furry friends to snuggle with.

Stone-Butch 11-15-2020 03:01 PM

Sunday morning over easy.

I was woken up by the sound of someone trying to beat in the window of my apt. till I realized I am on the 3rd floor lol. I got up and looked out at the trees bending in half in the winds. Very super windy with things flying around. SO, I made a coffee and added a nice wild blueberry muffin and after which I had another coffee and a freshly made egg salad sandwich. It is 4 pm and all has calmed now that the trees are naked from their leaves. Lots of rain and cold. Oh well, welcome to Canada.

Gemme 11-15-2020 09:38 PM

I had a good start to the day. Woke just before the alarm and took care of the babies. I made myself the last of the shepherd's pie with some broccoli and cauliflower plus a banana and half a glass of oj. It's my brunch so I had both breakfast and lunch components. After that, I got halfway ready for work, played online for a bit and checked the news and weather and then I broke out the broom and swept the place. Kids have been a little crazy with spreading the litter around lately. No worries; little do they know but I've purchased the crystal litter again and we're going to give that a go again. I cleaned up some email and then finished getting ready for work and off I went.

GeorgiaMa'am 11-22-2020 08:39 AM

Good Sunday Morning!

I woke up early this morning, so I lay in bed just listening to the news for awhile. Then I had eggs scrambled with cheese, biscuits, and coffee for breakfast while I watched _Atypical_ on Netflix.

Planning to spend my day organizing some papers and clothes. Will watch at least one more episode of _Atypical_. Hopefully I can make it outside to sit on the porch swing for awhile - it's going to be sunny and in the 60s.

Have a great Sunday, y'all!

GeorgiaMa'am 12-06-2020 09:31 AM

Happy Sunday folks!

I woke up hungry and too early for breakfast so I had a glass of milk and a cup of tea. I listened to an audiobook for about an hour and then voila! breakfast appeared - Strawberry Dutch baby pancake and bacon. It was delicious.

I'm going to spend today finishing up my holiday cards to send out. I didn't finish by the Sunday following Thanksgiving, which is always my goal, but I'll get done today. I'm being especially careful - masking and using sanitizing gel often, and not licking anything.

I hope everyone has a great, overeasy Sunday!

Orema 12-06-2020 09:54 AM

This will be an easy Sunday for me. Clocked in 5 miles on the exercise bike but my shoulder is really bothering me. Could only do 20 arm rolls. Am thinking of going to the doctor, but I'll hold off for awhile during the pandemic.

Have a couple people coming by for a viewing and will go to the park and sit in the car till they're finished. Then back to the femme cave.

Happy Sunday, y'all.

A day of football and catching up on a few procrastinated chores around the house..

GeorgiaMa'am 12-20-2020 11:35 AM

I slept late, and I feel pretty good this morning. Sitting here now with a Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino. I will try to go outside and sit on the porch swing for awhile today, but it might be too cold. Wrapping Christmas presents this afternoon.

Happy Sunday everybody!

I have a feeling this whole day will be an easyover. Sunday.......:hangloose:

GeorgiaMa'am 12-27-2020 11:47 AM

I got up before dawn and couldn't get back to sleep, so I had a triple espresso and brownies for breakfast and watched Netflix. I then contemplated going through my Christmas presents and starting to put them away, but didn't get farther than contemplation. Today will probably be filled with eating Christmas treats and watching more Netflix. It's 51*F outside and sunny so I will probably go sit on the porch swing, at least for a little while.

Happy Overeasy Sunday, people!

GeorgiaMa'am 01-03-2021 09:21 AM

Happy Overeasy Sunday, Peeps,

I woke up freezing :cold: this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. Someone had set the thermostat on 57*F! Probably someone accidentally brushed by the control panel and slid the thermstat all the way to the left.

I decided to just stay up and made myself a triple cafecito. I also had a chocolate chip muffin and a little bit of corn pudding, which I made last night. It's a special treat I like to make for myself sometimes - it's really the same as eating a warm bowl of cereal, but far more delicious. It has creamed corn (cereal) and milk and sugar, with some eggs and butter and that's about it. Nobody likes it but me in this house, so I will get to have that for breakfast for the next few days - unless I just eat it for snacks, which I probably will.

Today is my last day of freedom, or at least as close as I can get while un-retired. It's the last day of winter break, and in academia, two weeks of paid vacation when nobody's at work is as close to freedom from responsibility as it gets. Not only do I not have to be at work, but no one else is at work making work for me either. I don't know what I plan to do with my last day of freedom, but it will probably involve cleaning the kitchen and (possibly) cooking something delicious. I'm thinking something easy like ramen with an egg and some Korean BBQ pork, along with a little bit of soju that I have left in the refrigerator . . . possibly to be followed by an afternoon of drinking and watching the last few episodes of Dexter.

Dexter expired off of Netflix before I could make it to the end, so I subscribed to Showtime. I'll probably spend some time perusing Showtime to see if there's anything else I want to watch before I cancel it at the end of the month. I've subscribed to Showtime many times before, as there is always somethings on there that's just so good that it's worth an extra subscription - Nurse Jackie and Queer as Folk, among others. There's just not enough great content to make me subscribe all the time, though.

I'm really rambling now . . . thanks if you've read this far, and I hope you have a wonderful overeasy Sunday.
