I am making chicken breasts in the crock pot. I am seasoning them with half chicken broth, half water, garlic powder, crushed red pepper and a zesty herb marinade. I am also making a cup of rice and peas to go with my chicken. Tomorrow I will be having hamburgers with cheese and black beans.

Leftovers from lunch:
Jerk chicken, vegetables sauteed in a creamy tomato chipoltle sauce, basmati rice and seasoned black beans with a side of their version of pico de gallo...which was very colorful with yellow peppers thrown in it....very tasty. Oh and I cannot forget the "natty" bread. Its garlic toast and its the best thing ever.... Anyone who visits Asheville, do not miss Nine Mile restaurant on Montford Ave! |

Me. I know; I was shocked too. I had a veggie sandwich and a small fry with water. |
I made some hamburgers on the George Forman grill with some sautéed mushrooms, onions, lettuce, pickles on potatoe rolls. I shoulda had mine on a low carb wrap but I kinda sorta slipped and fell off my low carb diet......:seeingstars: I'm not stressing over it though.

I made calzones for dinner, James got the regular one then I made one with just veggies in it. I wasn't sure how it was it was going to turn out but it was pretty good, I put red and yellow bell pepper, sweet onion, sliced mushrooms with a few Italian olives chopped up along with a six blend Italian cheese over the top before I closed it up to bake.

I went to a local place called Rocky's Chicken shack.
I got their soul bowl special. It consisted of two gonormous chicken legs, mashed taters and green beans seasoned with onion...almost tasted pickled. A biscuit came with it but it was kind of grainy....so I didn't eat it. Lemonade to drink...a Reese's pb cookie for dessert but I ate it first.... Their chicken is amazing....and I was stuffed... |

Well crud! I just realized that I forgot to take something out of the freezer to cook for dinner. Not sure what I will have now...maybe some eggs & polenta...or a Greek pizza. :thinking:

I was hungry when I got home...I hadn't eaten all day.
So, I had a cup of quinoa and brown rice with garlic a half cup of pinto beans and a tortilla. Wasn't enough. While I was cooking rice and peas for the dogs, I had a banana...*still hungry, WTF* once the rice and peas was done I grabbed a bowl added some vegan butter and habanero mango hot sauce. *put the rest in with the dogs meat for their meals* I think I'm good now :bucktooth: |

I took a package of chicken thighs out to de-thaw then realized I have to run in town to get something to fix with them?:confused: Maybe some green beans, broccoli? I'm kinda craving some GREEN. And spouse wants yellow rice with it.

Dinner was mackerel baked with red onion, garlic and red and green peppers with spinach, tomato and dill rice. Now working my way through a punnet of strawberries.

I had pre-made lasagna. It was good not like homemade but that is a lot of work for just me.

I grilled a small ribeye and made a pot of smashed rutabagas, (mashed with evaporated milk, butter, and S&P) and cooked up a mess of fresh green beans. Good stuff!
