I finally have electricity and internet at my new place! It took far too much effort and raising hell than it should have.
It took them 4 days and me raising absolute hell to finally get my electricity turned on. I have always gotten it same day or the next day in the past. Fortunately, I did get a very helpful rep on the phone who made sure it got done. As for internet, good lord the comedy of errors from Comcast Xfinity was absolutely unreal. I have never experienced so much incompetence and errors in my life. After the second time that a tech was supposed to come out to establish the outside connection did not show, I gave up. I am canceling. I called the local service called Yucca and I literally had internet service within 15 minutes. I just called them on the phone, got my plan set up, went and picked up the router at the local office which is just a few blocks from my house, came home and plugged in my router and I had service. It just absolutely amazing the contrast between the two companies. I will be paying quite a bit more per month which is a drag but at least with them right down the street I should be able to get issues resolved quickly if they arise. That's important to me since I earn all my money online. I still have more stuff to move and clean the old house so this weekend will be busy. But I have everything I need in place at my new house and I am very happy about it. |

Glad you have service and can make some mo-nay. Today, my smile inducer was Gracie. I have two cats that cannot be fed together. Loki eats everything and Gracie is subservient to him so she just walks away and doesn't get to eat otherwise. So, he gets some alone time in the bathroom and she and I get some one on one personal time while I put down the food for her. When she's done, she comes to get me and then it's treat time. I think she looks forward to this the most. Even more than wet food, so that's saying a lot, and I have a ball with it too. Gracie is my predator. She eats all the little bugs and spiders and whatnot that come inside and are not welcome so she's got a good prey drive. I make a game of tossing treats to her and making her chase them. She's got good reflexes and does a killer impression of Patrick Roy (look him up). Today, she was especially playful, which means she would block the treat but then start to bat it around and she went all over the place with them before eating each piece. She got so invested in the game that she actually fluffed up her tail at one of the pieces that didn't go where she wanted it to. Too funny! |

Took my granddaughters school supply shopping and let them pick out anything they wanted. Man oh man I was delighted over how much joy this brought them!

My crazy cats. I love it when they just do something either together or singularly out of the blue that just makes Me smile and laugh. Today was one of those days.

I have a very sweet friend who has put a smile on my face even though I'm having a stressful time. I'm thankful for the time we have chatting it up.

My little brother said it ...you had a great divine intervention today.
My nieces who have planned a visit with me for months on this very date, walked in with me while the re hab wanted to tell me what was next. They weren't ready for my questions, yet alone the clinical billing doctor of psychology or the practicing lawyer. I guess I had my big guns with me on the very exact day I needed them! But still I feel overwhelmed. And somehow I feel fully supported. I love my family! |
I got some GREAT news!!!! I was also just sitting here thinking - I had a feeling at the beginning of this week that it was going to be a good week and I was not sure why I had that overwhelming feeling - and here we are in Thursday and the good news keeps coming.
I am now wondering if I should do a Powerball ticket (laughing). Although, that might be pushing My luck! |

I have 120 pound dog that looks like a border collie on steroids. She’s my good girl and follows me around whenever I garden. Smart as a whip! I look outside today and there’s a groundhog sitting on top of my new bucket bed. (it’s like a crate on stilts with six buckets inside.) just pissed me off because nothing was inside the bucket bed. It was brand new. I went outside hollered at it and it just looked at me! I chirped for Moon, and she sped out like a jet! That groundhog jump two feet off the ground!

Walking in to see J and my grandson working on an art project together. She was letting him do most of it but he's not even three yet so he still needs lots of supervision. Someone to make sure he's gluing those mini pompoms and fake bird feathers onto the construction paper and not stuffing them in his mouth.

I'm downsizing and moving to a much smaller place in Autumn, as part of the Island Move Plan for next year :) so I have a lot of stuff I'm trying to sell and this morning I've sold more than half of most of it, to one person. That was easy. Plus when things go that smoothly, you know you're on the right path.

Finding out that a program renewal submission that I wrote, valued at a little over a half million dollars, is at the top tier in review and will get the most funding out of all other submissions!

It was yesterday. I was visiting my Mom,( hopefully just another month of PT), and I had my feet propped up on her bed. She says you want me to massage your feet? I smile and I told her, no, Mom, you dont need to do that. I thank you for thinking of it.

Opening up my eBay & Etsy stores today and getting my first sale after a long time away. It feels good to be working again and my life not being just about being sick 100% of the time. I still have a long road ahead but it feels good.

Date Night out with my wife!!
Dinner on patio at local Mexican restaurant!! Camarones a mojo for me & vegetarian plate for her! Queso blanco with tortilla chips shared. We have hardly gone out to eat in a long while. We sat outside, was pleasant & had whole patio to ourselves. Food was incredible!! |
Made you smile today.
The family came over with the little one and she had drawn me a birthday card and a special picture of all of us she said. We spent a couple of hours just chatting and playing and hugging. She just turns my life into happy when she comes to my door and immediately runs for a hug. Anyway had fun, did not want to go out to eat. They have limited time to visit as it takes 2 hrs each way and it gets dark so early. I will meet them on Skype tomorrow anyway. Just make me smile ear to ear.
