I have my main "risky" parts, but I am not finding the way to weave them together....I need the creative juices to open their gates!

Sometimes going to art websites or books and looking at others' work, even if it's not what I'm doing, gets my creative juices going!

Pixie 05-18-2011 04:09 PM

Diva 05-18-2011 04:22 PM

Pixie brought my Words thingies over a little bit ago!!!

WOW!!! I love them all! Good work, Y'all!!!!!

purepisces 05-19-2011 10:32 AM

Jennifer - I hope you were serious about suspending judgement on our projects! I'm finding that working on this project is both liberating and scary. If I could just get my damn inner critic to shut up!

Diva 05-19-2011 12:00 PM

I haz paper cutz.
I blamez Jennifer.
:eyebat:

I lub her, but I blamez her anywho. :)

Diva 05-19-2011 01:09 PM

So I decided to give that Sketchbook Project another chance. I did my first one when I was still learning how to get my art to work and ~quite frankly ~ I was NOT all that pleased with the outcome.

SO. I'm gonna do it again. I got my Sketchbook in today's mail. It's different. Where we had a choice before, we did not this time. All covers are brown cardboard-ish. No worries there. AND ~ the part that *I* love ~ there aren't as many pages to fill!!!

Jennifer....I'm going to have Button Trees for Your Button Peeps!! ;)

I've already painted the cover a lovely metallic purple!

lionpaw 05-19-2011 08:35 PM

We had a very productive day!....We will be finished by tomorrow with our risk project!...Yay!...:).....Next, out BFP projects!...:)

Pixie 05-20-2011 07:26 AM

i vote to join the lionpaw team! pretty please?

nycfem 05-20-2011 11:18 AM

I am so serious about that! We all have a "pass" to take a vacation from our comfort zone and not worry about cleaning up any messes that arise from trying something new! :)

You are already with us Pixie.....So is everyone else....Wanna know why?.....Because we are all crafty!....:)

lionpaw 05-21-2011 04:16 AM

Our risks project is complete and going in the mail today....Yay!.....A funny little story to tell about this project.....While Lion and I (Paw) were making our contribution to this round, we would make several and go "oooh!...I want that one please?!....Okay, time to make another one to complete the project.....Then, it would happen again....."Oooh, honey, I want that one please?!"....Folks, it took us four attempts to finish our project.....But, it is done....:)

Ayeeeee, have glue gun burns and long spidery glue strings on many things :|
and ditto about that Jennifer :stillheart:

I have time to try something less risky
:byebye:
maybe popsicle stick rafts, :hangloose:, I've eaten enough banana and chocolate ones lately.

1PlayfulFemme 05-21-2011 08:05 AM

*Laughing* Well, if my risk pays off and everything sets up well, then mine are finished!!!! And I learned a thing...or ten! ;)

Gotta tell you, I'm a lil nervous about this! But, it's so exciting! Can't wait to see all the projects!!!!

wolfbittenpoet 05-21-2011 08:24 AM

Mine are still in process but I think I like them. But wow it was an experience.

Gemme 05-21-2011 07:58 PM

Mine look weird.

I will stick with tradition and not send mine out until the last or next to last day.

:cheesy:

LadyRain 05-21-2011 09:54 PM

I love linoleum blocks!....Oh, you are so lucky!....I haven't used them in eons...They are so way cool to carve into and scratch your designs into!....

lionpaw 05-22-2011 12:54 PM

Well, we will be mailing ours out tomorrow.....We stepped out of our comfort zone, and we found something else we enjoyed......So, thanks mucho nycfembbw!

Corkey 05-22-2011 12:56 PM

I am in the process as it were of doing mine. They are turning out just the way I wanted.
You'll all just have to wait I'm not done.

lionpaw 05-22-2011 12:56 PM

Yesterday, we started gathering up our supplies to make our planet project and raffle projects......It was a beautiful day, and we kicked back a little with Ami & Corkey!

lionpaw 05-22-2011 01:00 PM

Oh, I meant to ask awhile back after we received our "words" project.....Whoever is "typewriter boy" would you please pm us and let us know your bfp screen name....We'd like to send you a "thank you" note, but we don't know your name.....Thanks.....lionpaw

lionpaw 05-25-2011 09:30 AM

amiyesiam 05-25-2011 04:10 PM

femmennoir 05-25-2011 08:51 PM

I am on a school trip in Philadelphia, coming back Friday! 45 7th graders! School will be out June 10th and until then I have 95 reports to do and an entire classroom to pack! It will be dicey, but I think I will make it!

I've been "zentangling" since I was in junior high (so...roughly 21 years). They stole my idea and made it popular! :fastdraq:

That's what *I* was thinking! But since I'm so much older than YOU, YOU stole it from ME! :giggle:

I'm thinking that someone was pretty smart to give it a clever name and market it....Zentangle KIT? I love it! Cara....I think we should get a cut! ;)

Since I am older than both of you, and the bank account is in my name... I buy an 8 X 10 tablet with hard paper and some different # sketching pencils, and a really fine permanent marker, and begin with a scribble. Such fun, and relaxing
