Making a H U G E list of stuff to buy Monday...

cathexis 07-08-2019 01:20 AM

1) Order the post SSDI check household dry goods, food, and some luxuries from e-bay, vitacost, and Amazon online for Prime delivery. Oh, can't forget the cat food, probably from Chewy's. Lots of price comparing. I am the child of Jewish parents who grew up in the Depression. Learned to squeeze a penny until it bleeds. lol

2) 45 min.tidy. Apt needs more, but we're building up to that. lol again

3) Order ethnobotanical herbs and roots online

4) Then go to old fogey Bingo at the Senior Center with Partner's mom who is moving out of state soon to live near rich daughter. Yeah! Hope the nosy mom likes this large city. Worried, mom has never lived in a city or even left. wee village for anything other than a nearby doctor's appt.

candy_coated_bitch 07-08-2019 07:22 AM

GeorgiaMa'am 07-12-2019 08:02 AM

My agenda is blown for the day. Came into the office and the internet and phones are down. Guess I will straighten up my office a little bit and then putter around. The IT guy has gone to a store that is 15 miles away through Atlanta traffic for a part that will supposedly fix things.

MsTinkerbelly 07-12-2019 09:37 AM

Walk the dog
Feed the dog
Make coffee
Drink coffee outside in the forest

I know there will be adulting I can’t avoid later, but isn’t that a lovely start to a beautiful day? :tea:

Amulette 07-12-2019 01:23 PM

I'm waiting on UPS, they will be here "by the end of the day". Sigh. So I'm :
Cleaning this
Playing
Cleaning that
Playing

and on and on..... I have to admit that I do love it when they bring it right to my door though!

FireSignFemme 07-12-2019 02:38 PM

-General housework
-Clean/organize fridge/freezer
-Portion control foods for freezer
-Quick trip to Fred Meyer
-Finish cleaning bathroom
-Brush and lint roll Monte
-Cross fingers, hope, then bid on Ebay stuff
-Walk to get mail in this cursed heat
-Bake something
-Make ahead/freeze some burritos
-Laundry
-Watch a movie, read, do crossword puzzles, play Yahtzee against myself, sew or – just force myself to get up and do something, anything, other than sit here staring at the computer for hours and hours. It feels like I'm developing what, if left unchecked, could easily become a bad habit and I don't want to have to need to implement a 12 step program around this anytime soon. That's for sure.

Apocalipstic 07-12-2019 03:16 PM

Work, then maybe a nap

Kätzchen 07-12-2019 09:12 PM

Hurry up, tonight, and finish a homemade birthday card for my new elderly butch friend, so I can give it to her, tomorrow.

Traffic was so effing horrible today, it took over 3 hours to get home, after being on the 'go' since 4:30 am; and that was by train and bus. I plan to fall into bed and sleep until … whenever I feel like getting up, tomorrow.

Then after I get up, tomorrow, it's a manicure, then get the tires rotated on my car and get an alignment for the car too.

Sunday, I plan on staying in bed.... sleeping. I'm so exhausted I need to get some rest..... even if it's staying in bed, all day long.

easygoingfemme 07-13-2019 06:14 AM

Bike ride
House chores
Dinner and movie with my parents
Sunset

Orema 07-13-2019 09:59 AM

– work from home for a couple hours
– gather my soap making supplies and tools for Trudy
– gather lotion making supplies for someone or to go in the garage
– drink lots of water

I should do some chores and errands, but I'm already tired and haven't even started. That's what I get for staying up so late.

:poc-cool:

girl_dee 07-13-2019 10:28 AM

Kitchen reorganization

I pulled EVERYTHING out of my kitchen cupboards and am cleaning. Actually, I am refocusing what I want to do cooking wise. I'm trying to make my kitchen space more conducive to dietary changes I want to make. I found some really fun turquoise colored glass canning jars and bought what my budget allowed.

I've let go of many items that I have not used in awhile and the rest are sitting in my dinning room. Sigh. I have started collecting stoneware clay pots for cooking. I have a wonderful tangine and now am looking for some smaller clay pieces to cook on the stove-top with. I found some Korean clay pots can withstand temperatures up to 900 degrees. I thought that was impressive.

So far this is my goal:

* more space for making all things herbal
* only ingredients that support my health needs (chocolate stays)
* only cooking pots, machines, gadgets and utensils that I use
* grouping and organizing things for ease of use
* It has to be pretty

SO there we have it, and I notice I am writing involved posts rather that beginning the put it back together phase. Sigh, more coffee, coffee stays.

My boss is in a meeting elsewhere on campus, so . . . my first task is to eat a lovely chocolate-chocolate chip muffin, at my leisure.

Then, get down to work:
- deposit checks
- type minutes from last week
- arrange some travel to Lexington, VA; Bethlehem, PA; Conway, AR; and Danville, KY.
- edit a document
- then, to grocery store (before I eat lunch - dangerous, I know)
- and, home for a late lunch and a nap
- play with the doggy
- make dinner
- laundry
- take doggy out
- sleep!

Gemme 08-19-2019 02:03 PM
