I'm not sure because my daughter has asked to cook tonight! She's bookmarking a cookbook and making a shopping list. I'm excited. She's on spring break and has free time to cook this week and asked if she can take over dinner one night a week after the semester is over. No hesitation on my part!:girleating:

Orema 03-23-2016 09:25 AM

Baked or fried chicken wings (haven't decided yet) with green and red lentils.

Angeltoes 03-23-2016 09:58 AM

I don't know why people care so much what celebrities have to say

Wait...what? I posted in the wrong thread. I don't think I've ever done that before. lol. I don't know what I'm having for dinner tonight. Something light, I hope.

Rockinonahigh 03-23-2016 05:13 PM

I cheated today, after a late running Doctors appointment then me being way to empty, I bought a whooper with onion rings. Being its been for ever since I had any fast food it was pretty good just not as good as I remember.

Liam 03-23-2016 05:33 PM

Two cajun style andouille sausages on a French roll, with a side of country style bbq baked beans. :)

Soon 03-23-2016 05:41 PM

The last of the chicken schnitzel and perogies I picked up at an Eastern European market the other day. Good stuff!

PaPa 03-23-2016 05:45 PM

Slow roasted baked chicken. Bones separated so easily. Skin so crispy. Yum!!

Gemme 03-23-2016 06:07 PM

I had a different superfood 7 salad tonight: kale, beet greens, broccoli stalk, carrots, red cabbage, crispy quinoa, almonds, feta cheese and avocado herb dressing.

Then I ate ice cream.

easygoingfemme 03-23-2016 06:53 PM

Turned out to be a mother daughter cooking night, but I did the least amount of cooking (and most amount of clean up)

Garbanzo flour flatbreads topped with olives, cucumber, tomato, cilantro and feta with an olive oil/cumin/lemon dressing.

Jesse 03-23-2016 09:14 PM

Tarragon/Lemon roasted chicken with wild rice, and green beans w/cashews

MysticOceansFL 03-23-2016 09:29 PM

Had BBQ chicken with mixed veggies and sweet corn bread and a glass of sweet tea.

firegal 03-23-2016 09:32 PM

Simple taco salad.

Rockinonahigh 03-24-2016 09:18 AM

I'm fixing beef tips with rice tonight, going to have a nice veggie side dish then probably some garlic bread.

FireSignFemme 03-24-2016 06:48 PM

Burger dips - hamburger patties on rolls with melted cheese and tomato slices to dunk in Au jus - even though the Jonny’s Au jus is fake, still this for me in the kitchen is getting pretty fancy, that added to the fact that company is coming and the pressure is on. Since it’s a special occasion I have purchased multicolored wooden toothpicks to stab the sandwich halves with because I couldn’t find frill picks anywhere. To go with, I’m serving real potato salad, sparkling water for me - my “adopted” son is getting the last ghastly root beer flavored beer that one of my birth sons left here who even knows how long ago. This because ever since he’s learned of its existence he’s been after me to try it and I keep forgetting to bring it with me whenever I head to his place.

easygoingfemme 03-24-2016 06:52 PM

Roasted Brussels sprouts and cauliflower and a little bit of roasted chicken.

Gemme 03-24-2016 06:52 PM

I had porterhouse steak, asparagus almondine, butternut squash, salad, wine and ice cream.

Chad 03-24-2016 06:58 PM

I was in the kitchen tonight! This was so tasty and super easy.
Chicken Pho Soup

I love Asian food, but was always afraid to make it myself, thinking it was going to be difficult. The more I investigate, the easier it looks!

Lol...Indian Balsamic flatbread added to our international table tonight.

Chad 03-25-2016 04:53 PM

Dinner

I am having an Amy's Margherita pizza. Cocktails to drink.

This, again, but without the ice cream.

FireSignFemme 03-25-2016 06:44 PM

Burger dips again - if it isn't broken don't fix it.

cinnamongrrl 03-25-2016 07:49 PM

My client's family treated us to a lovely dinner at a Greek/Italian place called Pompadoro. I had the best Greek salad ever....really fresh feta...amazing Kalamata olives...and a lovely light Greek dressing.

I tried my lady's cheese lasagna...it was amazing. For dessert we shared a baklava topped creme brulé... afrigginmazing...

MysticOceansFL 03-25-2016 07:58 PM

Homemade salmon salad spread with tomatoe, lettuce and cheese & glass of sweet tea.

Hi, pardon me but I would like to know what is a burger dip?

Chad

RockOn 03-25-2016 08:44 PM

I just wolfed down a triple stack Wendy's burger. Sure was good!! Bet I'll be begging for mercy when it hits the bottom of my stomach ... probably be grunting for half an hour. Such is life!

clay 03-25-2016 08:54 PM

I hear you, Rock. I, as well.

Had steamed shrimp & steamed broccoli ( in my required portions...BUT didn't eat til 800pm..WAY too late for me. I see a late night for me...:(.

In my defense it was the blame on late appointment at the clinic with the doctor. I was there from 400pm til 700pm...then half hr commute home & stop by to pick up take out...:(

Jesse 03-26-2016 12:56 AM

I had a slice of Spanakopita and a green leafy salad

QueenofSmirks 03-26-2016 09:15 AM

Yikes! When I lived in NJ, I think our power went out every time the wind blew. Very irritating and inconvenient!

Orema 03-26-2016 10:01 AM

a baked pork chop, cauliflower rice, salad, 85% cocoa dark chocolate for dessert.

It's hamburger patties with melted cheese and tomatoes on good rolls. The rolls are spread with a little butter or oil toasted a bit under the broiler, then you put the burger/cheese/tomato on, cut it in half and dunk your sandwich halves in Au jus. It’s like a poor man's French Dip :)

Thank you,
Chad

cinnamongrrl 03-26-2016 05:39 PM

I made hot dogs and beans....

I found half a package of Trader Joes chicken hot dogs in my freezer, sliced them into rounds, added. Some frozen pepper blend, cut them smallish then added a can of beans. Good stuff
