I slipped today and confronted someone that threatend my daughter. In a stern but polite way. She didn't get mad but told me she had this. As a mother I know the protective nature I have with her or my loved ones will never leave me. Trying hard to let her handle it. Damn this is HARD. (She is my only child)

My right foot hurts...seriously, it does!

I believe my work trip has turned unto 2 weeks instead of 1. That's ok, I got this. Three hours from my family, I will be visiting them on downtime. There is always a silver lining. Now to buy gifts for the grand babies....because they never get enough you know.

Well in regards to the article from my class the irritated me so much- well in class to night the teacher spoke of kinship dynamics and next week she'll discuss marriage variations so in the meantime- I still plan on bringing the article to my other professors for her thoughts on it
I also asked a friend of mine who is a university professor and he had mixed feelings as well

Having a good day and enjoying my co workers and students! I was pretty wrapped up yesterday in dealing with an administrator. Friday I was wrapped up in taking care of my mom feelings. Back in balance and enjoying the days at work.

My job interview today....I actually think there are squirrels IN my stomach.... :blink:

Last night, my sister bought me a plane ticket to see her and my mother this summer. I sent her a note via facebook telling her how much the ticket will be and to make sure to put down my married name! So, this morning I looked to see if she did buy the ticket. She did, BUT she put down my maiden name.
Ugh! I was seeing red I was so pissed this morning. I have been married for five years!

I am trying not to think much.

My dad is in the hospital. His back spasmed and seized last night until he couldn't breath. He has been into the VA for this twice in the last week, only not to this extent. The ER here admitted him, and found signs of pneumonia.

I am worried and on edge... but trying to hold it together for my family.

This is what is on my mind right now.

The value of a Green lollipop?

Okay I romped through the threads and left funny, silly, happy posts for the most part but there is one serious thing that is rollin' around in my mind... so here goes.

One of the guys (and not really one of my faves but he is an okay guy) got upset with another guest, a female guest, and called her an unsavory name. He was immediately stopped in his tracks and redirected to take a walk and calm down. As he was walking out, and in another area away from the others, he felt the need to explain to me why he was so upset, so I listened... till he slammed her again.

I know he was upset and he has every right to be so, however, he has no right to speak that way about anyone. Although these kids show improvement with the way they act and react to situations presented to them... there is still so much more to work on. :sigh:

I really do love my job....

I want to lick it! I love suckers.

I am wondering about how productive I will be at work tomorrow. I am hoping that if I take a few extra breaks I can work my entire shift.
