Homemade banana nut bread with two strips of organic applewood bacon (cleaning the fridge), to complement my triple espresso with half and half. Very satisfying on this snowy morning, even if not detoxing! To think that it was spring only yesterday!

I loved yesterday's breakfast, and I repeated it this morning: homemade banana nut bread, two strips of organic applewood bacon, triple espresso with half and half, and I added a grapefruit. Lovely and perfect! Not snowing right now, but it hailed and snowed overnight! Where is spring??

A big smoothie made of skim milk, vanilla lowfat yogurt, a banana, a little bit of local honey, and frozen fruit (pineapple, peach, and strawberry).

I had jalapenos with egg whites, fresh spinach, feta cheese, and green tabasco sauce. I also had two pieces of turkey bacon and a piece of wheat toast. I was hungry after my jog!!

DamselFly 03-26-2011 09:59 AM

very simple

i had a big slice of 8 grain bread w/nuts & seeds (plain), several different kinds of dried fruit, a goodly portion of almonds, and two cups of green tea.
i try to eat small meals throughout the day, mostly fresh fruit & veggies, grains, beans, nuts, whole grain bread, etc. i subscribe to the "slowfood" idea of eating and actually cook my own meals. since i'm a vegetarian/vegan a large portion of the year, that is pretty much a necessity. i tend towards home foods from India, the Middle East, and Asia, with some dishes from Central America thrown in for variety, LoL.
i drink mostly water and teas, esp. green and white ones. i'm always trying to learn more about tea. my favorite teas thus far in my journey are the Wuyi (Blue Rock) wulongs. complex, ancient, extremely health-promoting, and w/a wide variety of tastes and aromas. i brew them in Zisha teapots and drink directly from the spout of smaller Zisha teapots at home! but i digress...
namaste,

Today, I had oatmeal with skim milk, walnuts, and raisins.

Tomorrow, I'm having pancakes cooked by Ebon (he'll figure it out eventually) and turkey bacon cooked by moi. Maybe some cheese eggs too.

Queerasfck 03-26-2011 07:45 PM

I already know what I'm making for breakfast tomorrow. Blueberry French Toast.

femmennoir 03-26-2011 10:21 PM

I already know what I want tomorrow for breakfast: a bowl of café au lait and two Parisian butter croissants! The café au lait I can make, the croissants are more difficult to find: I will have to go into the Village, to Claude's, well worth the trip though!
