Green beans
A big honkin' glass of wine (or 3; it was a very long day today at work)

cinnamongrrl 05-18-2016 06:41 PM

The girls and I had dinner and drinks downtown.

We grabbed a Greek pizza from Asheville Brewing Company and I tried a new seasonal beer. I forget the name, but it was in the Shiva family.

We walked around downtown after and strangely enough found our way to my favorite ice cream shop. Shock and gasp! My youngest and I got some ice cream while my eldest denied her DNA and abstained...I secretly mock her...and not so secretly..

RockOn 05-18-2016 09:19 PM

Bean burritos

RockOn 05-19-2016 03:43 AM

note to Gayandgray

since you like fried bologna, maybe try this ...

for 2 sandwiches ...
nuke about 4 slices bologna until almost crispy ... mash paper towels on front and back of bologna until all signs of grease is gone, toast 4 slices of bread for sandwichs - kind of dark and crispy ... spread mustard on one side of the 4 pieces of toasted bread, break up bologna to cover all real estate on 2 slices of bread, cut up a vidalia onion and slice thick, put onion on bologna, shakeout a lot of black pepper on top of onion, maybe a little salt, then close the top with piece of bread spread with mustard .... a friend of mine used to fix these for us after school in jr. high school ... I did not much like them to begin with but grew to love them ...the mustard and lots of black pepper make them somewhat spicy, plus, I love vidalia onions

An easy/lazy butch dinner; toasted torta roll schmeared with herbed chevre (garlic and chives) and kalamatas. Maybe a brewski.

Must be something in the air. I had a 6 inch wheat (they were out of honey oat....damnitalltoHell) sub with everything except onions and hot peppers and vinegar and chipotle Southwest sauce for a big pop of flavor. It was really good.

grenade 05-19-2016 10:55 PM

My kid made us French fries.

Jesse 05-19-2016 11:23 PM

I made an odd skillet concoction with leftover shredded chicken & polenta, hatch chiles, a couple of eggs, black pepper and a little grass fed butter. After the main part was heated, I made a hole in the center and plopped two eggs in and let them cook. It sounded crazy to me when my brain said, "hey let's cook ...", but it tasted really good when all was said and done.

TL1 05-20-2016 10:16 AM

Friend coming to stay for the weekend wanting some famous North Carolina barbecue so I guess we will be having that. :)

Stud_puppy1991 05-20-2016 12:18 PM

Not sure, but pizza and beer is sounding good. Mmmm

stargazingboi 05-20-2016 03:27 PM

I made a stir fry with: onion, peppers, broccoli, mushrooms, and carrots to be served over white rice.

Gemme 05-20-2016 06:26 PM

I had a Hulapeno pizza and this time it was more than a wee bit hot. Luckily, the red velvet ice cream took the steam off of my tongue.

Gayandgray 05-20-2016 06:29 PM

I made porkchops, yellow rice, peas, and lemon cake for dessert.

Jesse 05-22-2016 02:27 AM

I cooked up a pot of fresh green beans, baked a couple of sweet potatoes, and grilled some grassfed burgers. I'm good for a couple of days. :)

Gayandgray 05-22-2016 07:19 AM

Well I'm cooking a chicken for chicken salad, so I will probably make a plate for spouse with sliced chicken and some pasta. I will have chicken salad on lettuce and various lowcarb snacks that pack easily for work. I gave up and went back to lowcarbing again but not too extreme and not every single day. I'm working on portion control as well.

Chad 05-22-2016 03:56 PM

Dinner

I made beef enchiladas and they taste yummy. I will take some for lunches next week.

I am not sure if I want ice tea or beer.

Rockinonahigh 05-22-2016 04:46 PM

I made a fruit plate of cantlelope, strawberries, with a navel orange with a sprinkle of coconut.

Gemme 05-22-2016 07:18 PM

I had tilapia with yogurt butter and lime juice (out of lemon), basmati rice with a pat of yogurt butter, steamed broccoli, a lemon meringue cup and a handful of gummy bears for dessert.

Bèsame* 05-23-2016 07:53 PM

I worked past the making dinner hour, so I stopped for the new carved turkey/bacon sandwich from Subway. It was good, but everything is delicious with extra jalapeños.

Leftovers from lunch—panang vegetable curry with brown rice

Jesse 05-24-2016 07:43 PM

I found a 40% off promo coupon for Papa John's, so I had an extra large pizza delivered for fourteen bucks and some change.

I am not wild about red pizza sauce, instead I ordered a pizza with spinach alfredo sauce, grilled chicken, loads of veggies, and pineapple. It is delicious and there is plenty leftover to freeze.
