What made me smile today...
When I was told they were not considering me to fill-in for an immediate abscence of one of the overnights because of her family emergency. "You pull way too many hours for us as a fill-in already and your overtime would be in the 60 hour range if we did. We'll ask you as an ultimate last resort." Hee hee I love it!! |
A brief, but interesting, text conversation.
But my BIG smile comes from not having to work night shift at the PT job anymore. Last night was my last night. It's a weekend gig now. :) |
Finally getting some irritating medical tests out of the way. The nurse had to stab me 3 times before finding a vein but afterwards she said I was a "great patient and such a sweetheart" that she snuck me over to the employee break area and gave me a well deserved soda and a cookie. Yummy!
Blatantly ignoring doctor's orders that were so sternly given two days ago....and feeling just fabulous about the snub thank-you-very-much. Sometimes the patient does know best! Katniss~~ (la la la laaa....) |

Taking our Babygirl pup to the park and how she never barked at a Pomeranian<spelling> who kept trying to attack her...She got a well deserved treat when we got home and plenty of love from Ruff and I...Glad she is feeling better!

What made you smile today?
While on our walk this morning, Sugar and I stopped for a minute to take a picture of a rooster and his hens and I crowed like a rooster, after this about seven or eight young goats came running towards us thinking we had food. It made me smile and wish that I did have some food for them. They all stood on top of this small hill and checked us out while I took their pictures too. =)

Hearing my daughter talk about how beautiful the foliage is this year.....I know I did something right....my girls love and respect nature. I'm grateful for that....

Had a fabulous hike with the pups.... lots of colors and mushrooms and good nature smells :) The dogs just delight in the woods...as do I :)

The big smiles today....
I had three moments today that I found myself grinning before I even knew it.....and they were all Planet related.
First, I was doing the morning cash count. Droneing along counting ones...day dreaming. When the picture of G's floor exercise at the Cabaret popped into my head. Next thing I know, I'm grinning from ear-to-ear. That still cracks me up. The dedicated concentration, the almost perfect dismounts, the gaylimpics flag. It was fabulous! Thanks again G. Next, I was smiling as a certain lovely lady tried to convince me that Austin is the place to be. While I love visiting, it's too darn hot. Then finally, as I'm leaving work. Our local art guild was setting up for their monthly reception. There was this beautiful lady that kept kinda looking at me. I of course noticed her because she could have been the curly haired twin to our own gorgeous Ms. Bleu. So that made me grin....more that wicked grin....heh heh. But it was nice to have a reminder of such a classy lady. So today's smiles were brought to me by the letters B, F, and P. :D |
