I dragged Ebon, kicking and nearly screaming, out of the house. That in itself is a huge accomplishment, however, we went to a movie, shopped at THREE stores for the week's allotment of groceries and varied sundries, played a game of Scrabble (I won!), and grabbed dinner to nibble on as we watched some telly tonight.

I also washed three loads of laundry and Ebon ran the dishwasher.

I cleaned out my car, but the car care center wasn't available when I wanted it, so she still needs a good vacuuming and there's still a bag of trash in the back BUT she's reasonably tidy and there's no extra boxes and baby seats (long story) in the backseat now.

Yaaay for a semi-productive day!

How did Ebon get you to wash the car?!? LOL Ours needs some TLC real bad. No, it is not full of stuff, or junk. Quite empty, but dusty, and the inside windows need cleaning, etc. Andrea says she is gonna do it, but then gets busy reading a book..... I am just damned lazy. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Sunday...

Together, Scoote and I managed quite a bit for a Sunday...
  • cleaned our bathroom top to bottom
  • vacuumed the whole house
  • shampooed the dirtiest part of the bedroom carpet (path from door to our bathroom)
  • hung pictures on the walls that have been sitting since we moved in last November
  • emptied, ran and reloaded the dishwasher
  • adjusted chemicals in the pool and swept the steps and sides
  • picked up 2 bags of trash from the backyard...mostly shingles and junk left by the previous owner
  • swept the patio
  • did 4 loads of laundry from wash to put away
  • vacuumed the dog hair off the couch
  • made jello
  • fed and watered animals
  • went to the movies to see Zookeeper...cute :)
  • grocery shopped on the way home
  • made dinner

....and I feel like there was more but I can't remember what!

A deliciously long lie-in after what was meant to be a holiday that turned into the most intense weeks rehearsing.

I'm pretty happy that I made it to work on time!
Because of my commute I don't get home to 1:30am. Today I had to be up at 6:30am so that I would be to work by 9:30.
I made it with almost 10 minutes to spare. Plus my commute was only 1/2 price since I got a discount ticket for the Caribbean festival.

A good day at work.
A nice walk downtown.
Lunch.
Internet cafe - listening to k.d. lang.

Oh, and I bought some cigars!

Dominique 07-30-2011 03:17 PM

*roasted espresso beans
*had the kayaks IN the river just as the sun came up and went for an
early morning paddle
*had espressos with the neighbors and read the news (on lap tops) our animals touched noses, smelled reach others rear ends, hit each other on top of the head then layed around (nice way to say Hi, I missed you all week)
* rode the bicycles to the farmers market....got lots of fruits and veggies. I insisted we take the bicycles
* Now I am useless because it's 95 degress and I should of been laying in A/c all day

tapu 07-30-2011 03:19 PM

I did the heavy weeding in my ex-lover's garden. I'm like that.

JustJo 07-30-2011 03:58 PM

Working on a quiet Saturday...
  • made coffee and an egg salad sandwich for breakfast
  • gave Scoote a "pool boi 101" lesson on chemicals...and she did the chlorine and brushing
  • hit a few yard sales with my sweetie and got a few things
  • went to lunch with my sweetie
  • checked pool a few times, set up the pump for the partial drain and refill (long story)
  • put some seashells out by the driftwood in the new landscaping....it looks nice
  • turned the "couple of days old" homemade chocolate cake into chocolate trifle (cake chunks, chocolate syrup, a smidge of Kahlua and chocolate pudding)
  • read for a little while
  • TV time

Today I accomplished another day of being nothing short of myself : I had my quirky moments, my embarrassming moments and even my vulneratble moments; but I wouldn't change anything :)
