My joys for today include:

~ A beautiful sunny day, not too hot just perfect

~ Chatting with the manager and a store employee at the 7-11 across from My house and laughing with them

~ An exchange of sweet messages on msn messenger, and getting to know one very sweet girl

~ Buying the last hollographic cup from 7-11 featuring a well known WWE wrestler (The Undertaker) and finding a slurpee straw that had a mini plastic figure on it of John Cena *how fucking awesome is that??* :D

My best friend, Mac, called LD today. We're in our 40th year of friendship.
(She's a day older than I am; we met when we were 14.)

She's also 31 pounds lighter than I am thanks to her new diet
that she raved about today (i hate her, lol).

I told her about my T injections and about "this side" of life. She's very accepting and cool with everything just as I have always been with her life.

That's what makes us life long friends, in part. It was great hearing from her.

Soft*Silver 07-08-2010 05:50 PM

dozens of flower buds on my cucumber plants!

Blade 07-08-2010 07:01 PM

Fresh blackberry ice cream.....mmmmmmmmmm

Lynn 07-08-2010 07:03 PM

Lunch and dishing with a long-time friend. One of those friends you see every so often and it's like you've never been apart.

Having my best friend's little boy crawl up in my lap to watch FBI files with me...

How he likes to blow kisses to the house when we are leaving and he yells, bye bye house...

Knowing that my oldest niece is going to be surprised when she sees all of the Hello Kitty stuff I bought her for her birthday...

Treating myself to a homemade brownie and coffee ice cream..

Charming Texan 07-08-2010 09:17 PM

My give a fuck is broken with an expired warranty. I should have asked to see the fuckfax. Damnit.

What Just Brought Me Joy...

Having a good size bowl of chocolate pudding with tons of whipped cream. Maybe I should say having a bowl of whipped cream with some chocolate pudding.

Oh, and more joy was brought to me when I kissed my fem's cleavage :gimmehug:

Ah yes, life is good...

Linus 07-09-2010 07:42 PM

I'm giddy with joy at getting yet another promotion. I'm now getting a new title: Technical Lead. Although I will teach, I don't think I will be teaching as much. I suspect I'll be doing more research to help instructors. I'm really looking forward to this as it will allow me to spend a fair amount of my time researching stuff and ensure I get a regular paycheque (salaried) rather than a cheque dependent on hours worked.

Gemme 07-09-2010 07:59 PM

Speaking of checks, joy found me when I put my check in the bank today. I *heart* paydays. :cheesy:

Zimmeh 07-09-2010 08:08 PM

Finding out today that I won't have to pay my full amount of rent come August 1st. Since my roommate will still be working the first two weeks, I only have to pay $300.

Taking my youngest niece to school today, and watching her blue eyes light up when she saw the preschool was having a water slide day...

Jesse 07-10-2010 09:02 AM

Having the opportunity to spend my nephew's 15th birthday with him and my sis!

:fart: Happy Birthday Cody! :birthdaycake:

Leigh 07-10-2010 10:55 AM

My joy today is partly from yesterday, and more from today:

~ Recalling yesterday spent with friends at a waterpark, having fun and just enjoying the sunshine

~ My mom's stirfry last night, and how damn good it was

~ Babysitting My sister today

~ Pepsi and the saturday paper

Gemme 07-10-2010 09:21 PM

Tonight is my Saturday night! Well, of course, it's Saturday night but it's MY Saturday night, which is also my Friday night. It's not often I have a weekend day off.

Soft*Silver 07-10-2010 09:47 PM

having a really really awful pain day today, my daughter came over and took me grocery shopping so I wouldnt have to bring it all in myself. (I insisted I had to go) then she made chicken quasadillas, blueberry corn muffins and chocolate chip cookies at my house. Tomorrow is her BFs birthday but she gave me alot too. I got to spend the entire day with my kiddo! Even in awful pain, I so loved it!

Zimmeh 07-11-2010 06:10 AM

Doing research yesterday and finding out that I can health insurance with dental insurance for about $154 a month. I nearly fell over when I saw that...

Having a hot chocolate party with cookies lastnight with my oldest niece..

Waking up this morning with her sleeping in my room, she got scared and couldn't sleep by herself...

Making plans to take the kids to St. Augustine on Friday, none of them have ever been...

Life in general..

Zimmy

JustBeingMe 07-11-2010 04:25 PM

Reading the posts in the Anti-bucket list thread.........OMG too funny!!

Kätzchen 07-11-2010 05:48 PM

Let me tell you that there's no sweeter joy than when your friends come to your side and help you sort through complicated processes!!!!!!

-Thank you to a new friend of mine who sent me an electrical device (LOL)
- and Thank you for a dear Femme friend of mine who gave me invaluable advice!!!!!

and thanks to me,
I'm now prepared and empowered!!!!!

Floating on the lake with my sister and best friend talking about the furture and our lives. It was perfect

Kenna 07-11-2010 07:38 PM

The sweet Daddy Bluebird that took a bath in the dog's water bowl the other day, came back today with Momma Bluebird and taught her how to splash around and fluff her feathers. They were having such a great time taking turns cooling off. I got so tickled that he brought her and jumped in first to show her what to do. They were very sweet.

For myself, I got up with the sun to begin the task of sifting through my belongings, complete with bad and good flashbacks as I found this item or that object, to prepare for a sale and move.

I am nowhere near where I need to be in the end, BUT I see the progress made and I threw a bag of trash out and a bag of stuff to the recycle bin and I've got a box for Goodwill started and two boxes of stuff for the sale. It's better than I anticipated, honestly, as I tend to procrastinate, so I feel pretty darn good about how well I've done. :cheesy:

after working a 13 hr day, coming home,my son meeting me at the door with a big grin and says "notice anything?" he had cleaned the entire house--vacuumed living room and bedrooms, washed dishes cleaned the bathroom(all of it) washed the rug from in there...made our beds, put my laundry away...and left me a note on my dresser that simply said "you are a good mom" totally unexpected, and better than i do most times.

the pride i saw in his face was pure joy to me!

Leigh 07-11-2010 10:23 PM

My joy today came from visiting My aunt, who within the last month or so suffered a heart attack (thank goodness she's okay). I haven't seen her in five years, alot of it due to past family problems, but knowing that things are all behind us now and that we are still in touch brings a big smile to My face :)

PinkieLee 07-12-2010 08:06 AM

What brought me joy today...

Having a relaxing weekend, curled up on the couch, enjoying a movie marathon! I saw Eclipse Friday night at the movies, then rented She's Out of My League, Shutter Island, Brooklyn's Finest, Brothers, Invictus & the Crazies. (Gotta love $1 movies from RedBox)

Arwen 07-12-2010 08:50 AM
