Feeling Thanksgivingish

Roasted mashed cauliflower with garlic, chives and provolone
Roasted turkey breast (I totally cheated and bought one of the precooked ones from the store)
Low carb turkey gravy for the mashed cauliflower
Green beans
Cheddar biscuits with scampi butter (they are made with Carb-quick and are a knock off of Red Lobster's)
For dessert I am made easy pumpkin custard with whipped cream
To drink more of that yummy Toasted Head Chardonnay

Orema 08-01-2016 04:41 PM

pulled pork, feta cheese, bbq chorizo sausage, tomato sauce, frozen peas, garlic nan, ciabatta bun, pork loin, steamed cauliflower, corn niblets, cole slaw, 5-bean salad and some other stuff. ... I finally decided to unwrap all those tiny little bundles of plastic wrap from the back of the fridge.

RockOn 08-01-2016 09:04 PM

tonight's dessert

a Big Mac I found in the fridge from a couple days ago ... I sprinkled water on it because it was kind of dried out, covered it with a damp paper towel and nuked it for 1 minute ... tasted just as good as the one I ate inside McDonald's the other day. :)

My cousin has a Mc Donald's hamburger and fries in a bag in her kitchen cupboard. The bag and the food are 7 years old, and the burger and fries look like you could eat them today.

I haven't been to Mc Donald's in a VERY long time. ;)

Gemme 08-02-2016 05:20 AM

Last night, I had Greek pasta salad, watermelon, gummy bears and sucker for dessert. Unconventional, but it seemed to do the job.

pulled pork....the bigger your crock pot, the longer you end up eating the same stuff day after day.

grenade 08-02-2016 07:07 PM

I talked my kid into steaming some rice for me.

Steamed rice and toast.

Gemme 08-02-2016 07:08 PM

I had the last of the mashed sweet potatoes plus broccoli, a steamed veggie mix and some loaded potato salad. No meat. My body freaked out so I had to hammer out two giant suckers. Because sweets can be traded for meat.

Are "hammered giant suckers" some sort of regional dish or like getting hammered on double vodkas?

Nope. These suckers are too big to put in my wee baby mouth, so I smash them into bite size pieces.

Plus it gets the day's stress out.

C0LLETTE 08-02-2016 07:44 PM

ok, lol, i've printed out the recipe.

Kenna 08-02-2016 08:00 PM

I made fried yellow squash with cornmeal in a lite canola oil...
Grilled teriyaki turkey...
And Momma D's recipe for Wilted Salad with a dressing made from bacon, sugar and vinegar over salad with tiny heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, and diced up mozzerella cheese.

I don't know if I'd love the egg but the rest of it looks good and/or interesting.
