I had a couple bites of kiwi before realizing that they were overripe and I just bought them yesterday.

Rude!

Then I had a giant salad again.

stargazingboi 08-19-2016 05:51 PM

someone was sweet enough to make me dinner tonight. So, I had a baked potato with vegan sour cream, bacon bits (because believe it or not those are vegan), sauteed onions and mushrooms and multi grain bag-get with green chili garlic "butter"

was damn good!

cinnamongrrl 08-20-2016 07:33 AM

My daughter and I shared a foot long grinder from Harris Teeter. We couldn't decide if we were wicked hungry or the grinder was wicked good.

It was turkey and provolone with lettuce and tomatoe and jalapenos on my side. Light mayo.

So friggin good.

Jesse 08-20-2016 02:33 PM

A thin crust Mediterranean pizza with spinach, feta and olives that I bought while at Whole Foods the other day, also a piece of grilled salmon.

Gemme 08-20-2016 07:05 PM

I had some beef stir fry with mushrooms, mini peppers and steamed broccoli with the teeniest tiniest bit of Yum Yum sauce and some basmati rice.

For dessert I had some mandarins and some russet chips.

GeorgiaMa'am 08-20-2016 08:15 PM

- the 2nd half of my hamburger from lunch
- the 2nd half of a pint of Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream

candy_coated_bitch 08-20-2016 08:31 PM

A hard boiled egg and macaroni salad, then later on French fries.

clay 08-20-2016 09:58 PM

a grilled bacon cheddar burger on romaine with mayo/onion/tomato & a teaspoon of carrot raisin salad. Later I "indulged" (because I fuckin' deserved to) on a sliver of key lime pie...OHHH EMM GEE....foodgasms...

vixenagogo 08-21-2016 12:25 AM

lobster tail
baked potato
salad
fizzy water
latte macchiato (unsweetened)

Gayandgray 08-21-2016 04:38 PM

Tonight I fixed my spouse a "sub" salad with EVOO and I grazed on wasabi peas, raisins, and hard boiled eggs.:jester:

C0LLETTE 08-21-2016 04:47 PM

local fresh corn on the cob and field tomatoes. I'm in Eastern Canada and if we don't eat this stuff now, we have to wait another full year...chickens, on the other hand, get their necks wrung year round.

Gemme 08-21-2016 05:16 PM

I had a large sub with a ton of veggies, melted provolone and a couple of pieces of my bacon jerky added in. I got them to put the chipotle southwest sauce in portion control cups so I was able to just dot it on here and there. The bonus is that I was able to taste the sauce by itself and realized it has more mayo in it than I previously thought. I'll be adding that very sparingly in the future. Chocolate milk to drink.

stargazingboi 08-21-2016 05:59 PM

I made pasta salad

Lyte 08-21-2016 06:32 PM

T-Bone and... some middle eastern frozen thing that I bought yesterday from Trader Joe's. Never had it before but the description sounded delicious!

COLLETTE is that Tabber corn? I had peaches and creme (white & yellow mix) years ago while visiting Calgary, and had never tasted any corn that good before!

Great corn in Western Canada...very true. I once lived near Taber, some 30 years ago. But this was local corn from here in Ontario. I'm no farm girl but my understanding, from true connoisseurs, is that if the corn was picked more than 30 minutes ago, it's already past its prime, so Taber corn is but a fond memory.

firegal 08-21-2016 07:22 PM

...

Simple taco salad!

clay 08-21-2016 07:59 PM

Grilled some extra meaty Ribs, corn on cob, & a baked sweet potato.
(I can only eat 3 ribs, a quarter of the corn cob, & a quarter of the sweet potato...:)

I have some grass fed ground beef thawed out and I am thinking about making up some meatballs and sauce and making a paleo version of a meatball sub while I have these baguettes from Against the Grain. I haven't had one in years. I am out of cheese though...

stargazingboi 08-22-2016 04:26 PM

choices for tonight:

1) butter beans and northern beans in marsala and cauliflower with brussel sprouts in coconut curry with white rice

2) pinto beans and rice

3) for the vegetarian ravioli in red sauce

candy_coated_bitch 08-22-2016 04:32 PM

Pita chips and hummus.

C0LLETTE 08-22-2016 04:40 PM

Tabbouleh/tabouli for sure and then whatever else there is that will taste good with it.
You can chop your kale, you can juice your carrots, you can choke down your handfuls of vitamins and supplements, but nothing will serve you better than a cup or two of tabouli where minced garlic, onions and chopped tomatoes meet bulgur and bunches of chopped parsley and mint in a heavenly bath of lemon juice and olive oil

I do enjoy that stuff...my first time ever trying it was at a friends house. they propped open a pita pocket and put a slice of cheese then slide it in the oven for a nice toasting. then added hummus and tabouli...was magic to my taste buds

easygoingfemme 08-22-2016 04:49 PM

I made turkey meatballs and roasted Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. But all I want is rice pilaf so that's what I'm going to have.

MitchM42 08-22-2016 04:50 PM

BBQ, sweet tator fries and a salad.

Orema 08-22-2016 04:53 PM

Y'all have some delicious and complex dishes! I just had plain ol' chicken with some parmesan cheese.

I get this veggie mix at Trader Joes. I usually get this once a week and it's what I use to create a lot of salads and soups. It's perfect for a one- or two-person household.

It's a mixture of chopped broccoli, carrots, green cabbage, red cabbage, jicama, green bell pepper, radish, celery.
