Sorry to single you out like this...but you are 'incomunicado' - can't 'rep' you, or PM you...
Just wanted to say thank you for the rep points, esp on 'Libertango'. Yo Yo Ma is also a favortie of mine - we seem to have very similar tastes in music - music is a passion; from classical to doo-wop, and most music in between. Again, thanks for the reps and the comments. :) |
there's nothing like a trail of blood to find your way back home.

This Young woman ( Montana Young) was in our boy's graduating class. She and a fellow classmate did an arrangement of Wayfaring Stranger that was just haunting.
She is quite the fiddling phenom! |
Beautiful song - beautiful visuals...
I want to be on this beach, at this place, embraced in someone's loving arms listening to this song...

'Love in the Time of Cholera'...
Can there be such a thing as infinite love? Something so deep and entrenched in the soul, that time, distance, nor space can diminish it? That is the basis of this incredible story written by one of Latin America's greatest writers. The movie, unlike many, does it beautiful justice. Sensitively brought to the screen with the same passion and intensity as experienced in the novel.
Shakira did it further justice by honoring it with this song she wrote especially for the film: 'Cada Dia Pienso en Ti' (Every Day I think of You). It is full of longing and pathos. Even without understanding the words...one cannot help but feel the pain of the lover who's waited for almost 53 years for his love. This is a story only a Latin could write... No apologies for the long post...this story and song have touched me deeply, as my life has been a similar story - without the happy ending of this one. |

High Cotton -- Alabama We didn't know that times were lean Around our home the grass was green It didn't seem like things were all that bad I bet we walked a thousand miles Choppin' cotton and pushin' plows And learnin' how to give it all we had As life went on and years went by I saw the light in daddy's eyes And felt the love in mama's hands They kept us warm and kept us fed Taught us how to look ahead Now lookin' back, I understand We were walkin' in high cotton Old times there are not forgotten Those fertile fields are never far away We were walkin' in high cotton Old times there are not forgotten Leavin' home was the hardest thing we ever faced When Sunday mornings rolled around We dressed up in hand-me-downs Just in time, together with the church Sometimes I think how long it's been And how it impressed me then It was the only day my daddy wouldn't work We were walkin' in high cotton Old times there are not forgotten Those fertile fields are never far away We were walkin' in high cotton Old times there are not forgotten Leavin' home was the hardest thing we ever faced We were walkin' in high cotton Old times there are not forgotten Those fertile fields are never far away We were walkin' in high cotton Old times there are not forgotten Leavin' home was the hardest thing we ever faced We were walkin' in high cotton Old times there are not forgotten Those fertile fields are never far away We were walkin' in high cotton Old times there are not forgotten Leavin' home was the hardest thing we ever faced We were walkin' in high cotton ~Theo~ :winky::listening::bouquet: |

The Man In Love With You -- George Strait I'm not the hero who will always save the day. Don't always wear the white hat, don't always know the way. I may not even be the dream you wanted to come true, But I'll always be the man in love with you. I'm not the key that opens every door. I don't have the power to give you all you want and more, But when you're needin' somethin' special you can hold on to, I'll always be the man in love with you. I never could work miracles. There may be others who can do what I can't do, But no one else can be as good as me at lovin' you. So when the world won't turn the way you wish it would, And the dreams you have don't come alive as often as they should, Remember that there's someone there whose heart is always true. I'll always be the man in love with you. Remember that there's someone there whose heart is always true, Someone there to help you make it through. I'll always be the man in love with you. ~Theo~ :winky::heartbeat::smladybug::listening::bouquet: |
Didn't even realize how lonely I'd become, until love came my way again.

your conscience awakes and you see your mistakes
and you wish someone would buy your confession the days miss their mark and the night gets so dark and some kind of messages gets through to you some kind of message shoots through and it says to you, love when you can, cry when you have to, be who you must, that's a part of the plan await your arrival with simple survival and someday we'll all understand RIP Dan Fogelberg, August 13, 1951 – December 16, 2007 |
