Medusa 11-03-2016 03:07 PM

We are doing chicken thighs mojo-style with roasted new potatoes and a salad.

NOM.

grenade 11-03-2016 04:29 PM

I'm going to make red beans and brown rice. Spicy but not burn my gut hot.

Gemme 11-03-2016 06:23 PM

I had grilled chicken breast, sweet potato cubes, green beans, basmati rice and waaaay too much sugar.

GeorgiaMa'am 11-03-2016 06:44 PM

Bibimbap ......

Uli 11-03-2016 06:45 PM

Cassoulet, a budget version (1 kinda meat instead of 3, extra beans and veg)

RockOn 11-03-2016 09:05 PM

I nuked 2 corn dogs from the freezer, 2 glasses of milk, cup of tangerine slices for dessert.

Seems like I am bored with food lately. I dunno ...

They don't exist any more this year . . . alas, the season for Pumpkin Pie Pop Tarts is over. Have to wait for next year!

The Publix here still has some in the double size boxes.

Sweet Bliss 11-03-2016 09:39 PM

chicken curry, lentils

Kätzchen 11-04-2016 04:19 PM

Last night I stopped at a favorite neighborhood McMenamins Bar and Grill to have a burger and fries and a small serving of dark red wine. It was lovely, sitting outside, relaxing and watching evening activities ....

Tonight, I don't know what I will have for supper. It's been a very busy week at work and I'm ready to just do nothing but rest, sleep, read a good book, and maybe I might just roast some vegetables or a small squash and call it good.

Chad 11-04-2016 05:33 PM

Dinner

Pepperoni pizza with olives and jalapenos. I have been informed that homemade peanut butter cookies are for dessert. Cocktails to drink.

Yummy!

Gemme 11-04-2016 07:10 PM

I had pumpkin bisque.

Jesse 11-04-2016 07:16 PM

My dinner consisted of the other half of last night's oh so yummy sub. Sarcasm intended. I decided to have it for dinner again even though I wasn't wild about it, because I couldn't see the sense in wasting it. On another night I may have voted differently. ;)

candy_coated_bitch 11-04-2016 07:42 PM

Veggie sushi and vegetable lo mein.

It's a Korean dish. It's sort of like a salad (mine had lettuce, egg, bean sprouts, shredded purple cabbage, carrots and cucumber), with warm rice and shredded seasoned chicken on top, and a dressing of sesame oil and spicy-sweet gochujang pepper sauce. You mix it all up together, and it's delicious!

I am lucky enough to have a sandwich shop in my office building where they make it every Thursday. I often bring it home for dinner.

C0LLETTE 11-04-2016 08:15 PM

sushi or sashimi... the one that has the slab of raw fish and isn't in a roll...well at least i'm broadening my palate lol... my next task is to learn to id what i eat.

Orema 11-05-2016 04:24 AM

Last night was bacon-wrapped prawns, cole slaw with oil and vinegar, and a skinny margarita.

easygoingfemme 11-05-2016 05:35 AM

Not sure yet. I teach all day so I want something quick when I get home. Thinking maybe Halibut with some broccoli rabbe and rice.

cinnamongrrl 11-05-2016 05:50 AM

I'm not entirely sure. I'm craving Mac n cheese something wicked. And we are having company tonight. My daughter's father is on his way down from Mass to bring her her car...so it needs to be enough to feed 2 hungry men and us two girls.

I've not cooked for more than just me in forever...

easygoingfemme 11-05-2016 06:34 AM

Change of plans. I made up my fish and greens and rice to pack for lunch. I'm going to take my daughter out to dinner tonight. We have some things to celebrate. I'm going to task her with finding us a place for some really good Pad Thai.

Shashimi. Good for you for broadening your horizons!

Good thing your sink issue got fixed!

If you wanted mac 'n cheese, I would have done up a casserole with different cheeses, biggo noodles and maybe some bacon crumbles in it. Get the top all nice and crunchy and the stuff underneath all gooey.

Now, I'm making myself hungry.

Thank you, that sounds yummy.

I plan on making stuffed bell peppers with Basmati rice, some chopped veggies and grass fed ground beef; whether they are baked or deconstructed will depend on how hot it gets here today. I'm leaning towards deconstructed because my new ceramic/copper skillet arrived today. :)

Canela 11-05-2016 11:36 AM

Puerto Rican cuisine....mmmm...

Kätzchen 11-05-2016 03:22 PM

I baked (roasted) several small squash and a few yams, and baked a gooey pasta casserole that has roasted garlic, broccoli and cauliflower and toasted crushed almonds on the top.

Right now though, I'm sipping on a hot cup of herbal tea of rose hips and lemon, and letting some chocolate melt in my mouth. It's really good with honey, too.

We had lentil soup with rice, avocado, and spicy onion relish, a la Madhur Jaffrey. It was delicious.

O.m.g. I'm so jealous. There's no Puerto Rican food to be found here!

Gemme 11-05-2016 06:08 PM

I had bbq pork with coleslaw, fire roasted corn, garlic bread and fried pickles.

Why, yes....it was delicious.

Ms. Meander 11-05-2016 06:22 PM

Spatchcock chicken with roasted veggies in the oven. My first time spatchcocking. :|
