Woooooo Hooooooooo!!!!! :cheer:  :cheer:  Congratulations!!!! http://blog.chargenevier.com/wp-cont...03/img_2-7.jpg |
Let's see.....yesterday is kind of a blur at the moment....but I know that I got one kid off to school, packed lunches, did a ton of work for my job, cleaned cat box, made dinner, helped with the printing out of articles and pictures for Rooster's history fair project, fought with an uncooperative computer....
...and the best part was getting some guys to show up and look at the shed. I listed it on freecycle, and they say they'll be hauling it out of there today or Friday. :cheer: Once that's gone, I'll feel like I can start doing up the back yard...staining the short fence that goes around 2 sides of the pool so it matches the privacy fence, pouring some decorative concrete (with seashells pressed in) to extend our patio, doing some landscaping.....yay! |

You're THE BEST!!! Knew I could count on you! Ohhhhh that will make such a GREAT breakfast treat.....especially with feeling hungover from all the dancing last night and my "purple-gesic" meds. |
I tried to go back to sleep when I woke up this morning at nine, but that didn't work. So, after laying there for a couple of hours, I rolled out of bed, unloaded the dishwasher, and got ready for the gym. I had my banana and rfpb and spent about 2 hours at the gym, give or take. I came home and fixed lunch for myself. Ebon was already working then and had eaten something already. After lunch, I showered and washed my hair and played on here for a bit.
Then, I got some laundry ready to go and walked it down to the laundry room. Back in the apartment, I started preparing my dinner. Turkey meatloaf! Jenni-o 7% fat lean ground turkey, onion, mushroom, jalopeno and bbq sauce all mashed up together and baked until super yummy! I usually put bell peppers in it but we're out and the store was out, so I left it out. I pulled the laundry out to hang the undryables and moved the rest over, got back on here for a bit, looked for something for work tomorrow, went back down for the rest of the dried laundry and came back and put it away. I know there's a couple of other things but I just can't remember them now. |
I got up
did the cat box (oh the glorious joy) a bit of house work showered went to gas station, beer store, and Dicks sporting goods store (guess who that was for) then to starbucks for hot chocolate then home then starbucks (short story) then ACMoore (yeah it is like crack) home fed cats made a sandwich tried my new craft stuff looked at and read about 100 sock patterns chose one and started to knit my first sock upon getting the hang of using 4 needles at the same time it is pretty easy! played on here and watched some tv going to bed soon hope to actually get more stuff done tomorrow by stuff I mean the oh giddy me up crap that has to be done |

I made it to my 'almost' 4 day weekend (I'm working a few hours on Monday)! Now I just have to figure out how I want to spend it.
|
I got up, ate, got ready for work, commuted in the rain, worked for nine hours about half of which was spent in the rain, made a bank run for the office, commuted again (still raining but in the dark this time and on poorly lit roadways), got home, checked the mail, ate dinner, chatted with my honey, played on here and now we're watching a semi-horrible movie with Meg Ryan and Tim Hutton. Tim's duct taped to the toilet with his pants down (by Meg) and Meg is tied and dumped on the bathroom floor (by the yard guy who invited his friends over and is robbing them as they lay duct taped in the upstairs bathroom). It's complicated.

yesterday
Sunday I finished a book i've been reading .
worked out , did a total 19 miles on the treadmill for the week. finished a hat I've been making , and started a new one. |
The weekend was a mix of errands and relaxing...so that was a nice change. :cheesy:
Saturday we bailed on the kids, went out to breakfast and to the beach for a walk and shell-hunting. No outstanding finds, but we've started to pick up the shells we usually leave behind that are cool, but broken (yes...we're shell snobs :giggle: ). The broken ones are for our patio project...to press into the concrete and set the vibe for our beach theme. Yesterday we did a little shopping at Lowe's to work a few little projects forward...weatherstripping, etc., and I found the blinds I want to get for Rooster's room but have to measure a bit differently and then go back and order. I also accomplished signing up for unlimited NetFlix movies through the Rooster's PS3....a month free trial, then 7.99 a month for all we care to watch. I envision lots of evenings curled up on the couch with popcorn. :) |
I walked 1.5 miles with a couple a hills in 27 minutes outside in 30 weather. That's a good way to kick off my morning. |
So far I went to the grocery store!!
|
- getting ALMOST caught up on laundry from the weekend yay! - dusting, dishwasher, floors & tidying around the house - taking 2 steps forward when i really felt like taking 1 step back - digging out my 10 self esteem commandments from my course back in 2008.. - brushing Gibson (my kitty cat) =^. .^= - setting up my sparkpeople website & starting a new blog - doing an early morning, easy workout - i'm still sore in places from my fall. i feel pretty accomplished! |
Fed the outside dogs and put down new cedar shavings for them in their favorite sunny spot.
Walked and played with the inside dogs. Made coffee in my new coffeemaker. (without making a mess) Worked online doing some research. Did laundry. Currently working on re-organizing and re-arranging my room to make it easier to get ready for work and not stumble over furniture. Making a small good-will donation bag. (I've purged so many "unnecessary" belongings over the past year, that I don't have much else to get rid of... but today's efforts are focused on clothes...those I haven't worn in a long time or never worn.) Talked to Mom and my Aunt M about my childhood immunization records. (Mom can't remember which State we were in when I got my immunizations ) Organized some small gifts to send to my nieces soon. Later... I plan on cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming my room and ironing some work clothes. If I have time, make a trip to town for a large picture frame to hang a nice picture of my nieces above the desk in my room? |
what I accomplished today.....
got 3 boxes of clothes ready to get donated

On very little sleep (my own fault, this time), I went to work early and rented a couple of units and the truck a couple of times. I caught my manager up to date on all the havoc I've been causing the past three days on my own. I prowled the grounds and scooped some poop (I know, I know...my life is so glamourous!) and got out of work just before 2pm. I stopped off at a lovely place and viewed some places to rent and drooled all over myself. Fabulous! I wish we could get them, but it looks like it won't work. I made it home and made a snack for Ebon and myself and changed out of my work clothes and caught him up to date with what I learned about the apartments I saw. We both did some calculations and made some calls and it STILL looks like we make too much. I signed in here and toodled around a bit then started dinner. I'm now back here after washing up some of the dishes and putting the rest in the dishwasher and rinsing the recycling out. Oh! I got a text from my manager saying the interim manager tweaked my schedule and, if I work longer tomorrow, I can have three days off this week (!!!) IN A ROW!!!!!! OMG, OMG, OMG!!!! I said, "That would be nice." of course.
:freak: Yeah, that's about it for me today. :whoop: |
--brought stray kitteh (Sammi!) I took in for spade -- she's doing fine!
--got to work and taught some pretty intense political poems (students were receptive and awesome!) --organized scattered notes in literacy binder --went to Dept Head meeting and contributed --edited a personal statement for student who is trying to enter medical school --happy got through the day w/o getting called on accidentally missing a meeting last week |
I started my research paper on financial versus non-financial incentives and how it affects organizational behavior.
I tackled a project I've been avoiding at work and it wasn't that bad. Survived a 2 1/2 hour long meeting (by working on my paper). Made a yummy dinner and starting packing for my work trip! At least I'll be able to get a ton of writing done from my hotel this week. ;) |
