I know I am loved when I get early morning calls from an out-of-state best friend and they say "I wanted to check on you. ...When I don't hear from you, it usually means you are in a 'bad place'..."
She knows me too well!! And I love her just as much!.... I know I am loved when I feel comfortable enough [with friends, family or a lover] to trust them and to return their love without fear of being hurt. Their love gives me confidence and a "calm" heart.

I know She loves me because She is about to cross the country with me.

I know She loves me because She does not make empty promises, She means what She says.

I know She loves me because She is tough on me, for my own good.

I know She loves me because She says so, even in Her sleepy voice.

I know she loves me because she listens to my ramblings at night. (Thank you sister of mine)

I know she loves me because she tells me all the time in everything she does for me.

my best friend drove eight hours to spend one night. We have so missed seeing each other. As she was getting in the car this afternoon she turned around and said, "you are so worth the trip"

A bonus, I got to meet her new girlfriend!

when she calls me baby. if i get sweetheart, im wondering.

I know I am loved because she drives 45 minutes to do the after school pick-up so that I can sleep an extra hour.

I know I am loved because my friends support me. They may not always agree with me, but they support me.
They help me process life, and they support me.
I speak of true friends that know the real me (not the "only 5% of me" that I proactively decide to "put out there" because I don't think it's safe to put EVERYTHING about one's self online...)
I've met some amazing true friends *here*, who are worth every effort to "allow" them to know who I am and "allow" them to know 100% of me... and they support me....because they truly know and value how hard it is for me to open up to them and allow anyone into my real comfort zone.
And I try to let them know that I value them more than any riches in the world.

To find true friendships and bonds where you are supported and cared-for without stipulations or unrealistic expectations...that's Love.

They support me when I mess up...
They support me on bad days and good days...
They never let me down...
They support me by giving me space when I need it...
They support me by being there when I open my space to them...
They support me by being understanding to whatever I hold important to me....
They support me when I am passionate about subjects close to my heart (even when they do not agree with me)...
They support me by kicking my ass and telling me how it is when I made a stupid/impulsive decision....
They support me by loving me for who I am..... all 100% of me.
They support me, care for me when I need it, and love me by accepting me.

And I do the very same thing for them.
I know I am loved because my friends allow me to care for them and allow me to get to know 100% of them.
I know I am loved because we, as friends, have surrounded each other in our comfort zone.

I know I am loved because....

....my g.f. was blasting her A/C in her car on a not so warm night so that the Gelato she got me from Rita's Water Ice would not melt on the way home.

my friends are secure enough to be real around me.

i know i am loved because i love myself <3

i get tail wags and kisses when i get home.

I know I am loved because I have friends who love and support me, even when I keep going back to the same bad decisions over and over.

I know I am loved because I have two tuxedo boys who would rather snuggle up on the loveseat with me than on their nice comfy dog beds that I paid a lot of money for from PetSmart!!!

I know I am loved because every week I get an invitation to the brunch circuit!

I know I am loved because I am a good person with a huge heart!

I know I am loved by the look in his eyes.

I know i am loved because.....

When i need someone all i have to do is text or call and someone is there with an ear and understanding.

When i go to sleep at night i do so with a smile on my face. No more being afraid, no more feeling that i'm alone and something is going to get me and hurt me.

I am safe and secure and happy and walk around with a huge smile..

Love of all kinds radiate around me by special people like a giant bubble that is filled with sparkles and hearts and sunshine and goodness.

That's all i have ever wanted and needed.

I am blessed.

...it shows in the "good morning, I love you" texts I get every morning that I wake up.
...it shows in the random "I miss you Sir" texts I get while I'm working, making me smile.
...it shows in the hard conversations that end with "Can I kick *** ass please Sir?"
...it shows in the sleepy "I love you Daddy" when I come and tuck her in.
...it shows in the love I'm shown by both.
...it shows in their devotion to me. And mine to them.

...because she loves that fat crease roll on the back of my head.

Because they make a cuddle sammich outta me! :awww:

I know I'm loved because he agreed to go to a movie without having ever seen one trailer for it, just because I really wanted to see it. :awww:
