I don't know if Ivan is feeling better.
Last night, he managed to kick right in with a nice little 10 second song where he got his entire body bouncing right along with a raucus "RAWK RAWK RAWK". He was sitting so nicely in the big water drop of the waterfall, where he loves to sit and look out. My heart leaped when he did that and I saw my little Ivan as his old self again, if just very briefly. Miss Myra was in the water bowl, looking up at him. I guess she has her own way of giving him encouragement. This morning when I got up, I saw where Ivan had managed to climb up and scoot under the big ledge, right under Myra, to sleep. I'm taking this as a good sign, because for the past few days, Ivan hasn't felt strong enough to climb on the back wall. Now I see him there, but only his little hiney and the backs of his little feet. He's turned himself brown to match the back wall (he's hiding!!). I'm said all the prayers I can possibly say for him....I have cried a river of tears and begged G-d to somehow bring this little guy through this and not take him so soon. I don't know if He is listening, or the prayers/begging/tears are working, but I keep hearing this song in my mind, and I've got a feeling that He just might be: ~Theo~ :bouquet: |

I have been absent from this thread for a few days, having only minutes to spend doing what I can not justify giving less time to then it deserves.
I light my candle today, not asking for things, but thanking for what is given. I am thankful and awed by what has been given me. Thankful for the smile that spreads across my face, for the opportunity to see things in a way that I was unable to just a small time ago. I am thankful that I have found such a loving and generous soul who wants to be a part of my life in so many ways. I am thankful for the new understanding that perfect is NOT an obtainable goal, and neither is it one that would make me happy. I am thankful for new friendships and shared laughter, for quiet conversations and boisterous games. I am thankful for the shared idea that it is not what you did with life you take with you, but how much you enjoyed it, and how much you helped others to do the same. I am just so grateful, so thankful today. I hope I remain this way for some time. |

My dear friend Jodi has been struggling with cancer now for two years. She recently got pnemonia..And this morning at 5 am...Transended...May she feel the freedom now she didn't have here.
I light a candle in my home and on here today...For her children and grandchildren and all who truely miss her..that they will be comforted that during her passing..she felt no pain. And that they feel her presence as I do. I will miss you very much Jodi but I will also keep my promise to watch over your children. Rest in peace my dear friend! |
Just got a text from JAGG....he was on his way to the ER as his Dad may have had a heart attack. He'd just been released from the hospital last week (pneumonia).

Candles to All! Here is an Update from my big sister about mah Niece: Today's update has them working on bringing her oxygenation to room air, which they have been working on since yesterday. It is going well, and looks to likely mean a trip to OR to get her off the EMCO. Just moments ago: They are rolling her down to OR to remove her from the EMCO machine. You know, she is truly a Xmas Miracle at this point. In the recent past I wrote about my father who is struggling with throat cancer along with other illnesses. Two days after Christmas (which was my parents 60th Anniversary) we rushed Dad to the emergency room. He needed a blood transfusion. He is at home now and is resting even though there are still unresolved problems. Light a candle for him, my Mom and me, who are his caretakers. We need all the support we can get. Thank you.

Update on JAGG's Dad:
He' in the cardiac ICU with blood clots in his lungs. J also informs me that His Dad has Alzheimer's....and had just gotten out of the hospital last week with pneumonia.... But also said that His Dad is "strong as an ox"....so that's always a good thing. |

Thank you so much everyone especially Diva. My dad is the strongest man I have ever known , so if there is anyway to pull through he will. He truly is unstoppable. He has alzhiemers and he is 78. He was diagonosed 3 years ago and my older sister moved him in with her. Until feb. He wandered off at 2am in PA. with 4 ft of snow on the ground and 12 degrees outside. The police found him about a mile from my sisters crawling in his hands and knees in his underwear. No coat nothing, just his cane . The police and doctors think he'd been crawling for about 2-3 hours. He had a little frostbite on his knees , and some bruises but other than that he was fine and making jokes with the nurses. But we had to put him in a nursing home to keep him safe. He loves it there. He calls it head quarters, hahahah Sad thing is he thinks he works there. Alzhiemers , it's a cruel fate that he doesn't deserve. He was the best dad with a strong work ethic, and the most kindest , easy going man you could meet. And now I think his health is failing, but I will embrace this and I know I'm blessed if he makes it and blessed if he doesn't . Either way I trust the outcome will be in everyones best interest. I know alot of people have crappy families but I am very very lucky. My family is awesome and we are very close. It makes things easier when you pull together and are there for each other.
Thanks for all my friends here on the planet and anyone who had a kind word of support for my family. This is a wonderful place and I'm glad I get to be a part of it. |
