I am twirling on my toes. I just reunited with my son and my grandkids tonight. My son has been estranged from me for 5 years. Then tonight, out of no where my granddaughter contactedme on facebook of all places. I ended up on the phone with all of them until my cell died! My prayers are answered! I'm on cloud nine!

What brought me joy today...
The flowers from my honey are even more beautiful today, than when I received them. All of the Stargazer Lilies have opened, and the sweet fragrance is filling my office. Counting my blessings instead of my worries has put things back into perspective for me again. Music that has pumped me up and making me chair dance like a fool! A hot lunch date today ~ for PIZZA! Marking another big ol' red X on the calendar ~ 28 days until the Reunion! |

that chris's blanket is coming along nicely, I love crocheting, and getting most of chores done today already before noon.

The Babies took to the bottle today.... Momma cat does NOT like being inside and nearly trampled them this morning, so I started to bottle feed.
There is barely anything sweeter than hearing a tiny itty bitty kitty BURP and then tiny 3 week old kitties start to purrr for the first time. I'm so happy the baby boy is doing better than earlier this morning... he was so weak. Damn I'm wore out after this mornings chores and chaos... I think me and all the critters will enjoy a nap! |
Watching my child sleep and remembering her birth. Her happy peppy jumpy excitement as we pulled up at camp and everyone said happy birthday!!

My joy today came from two sources:
1) My cousin Barb came to visit us last night with her 1 1/2 year old son Matty. Its been awhile since we've seen her and it was great to have her over, and that little boy's smile as well as his laughter lit up this whole house ~ exactly what we needed after such a stressful week :thumbsup: 2) Creating a birthday thread for a sweet girl, the same one who is capturing My heart in a way that I never imagined possible ~ maybe its the cheesy grin that gives Me away :cheesy: |
A very nice, long phone call from someone dear....sure made me feel better about things.....<smile>

What brought me joy today...
Knowing that Conchita has a wonderful home filled with love, laughter & boxes o' wine! xoxox Divalicious! Having some random stranger call and try to order a pair of concrete shoes from my job... and constant laughter for the following 15 minutes! Running into an old friend at lunch today ~ and having her try to convince me to go to my 20 year high school reunion, too! Ugh, the peer pressure. **mental note ~ I did NOT invent Post Its** |
Yet Another Animal Friendly Law Passed in Mass!!
I just received this thank you email and it brought me a lot of joy!
Thank you for helping to protect animals and people from poisoning Thanks to your calls and emails, H. 4285 passed the Massachusetts Senate on July 13th and was signed into law by the Governor on July 19th. This new law will prevent accidental and malicious poisonings of animals and people by requiring that a bittering agent be added to antifreeze to make it less palatable. This important legislation will take effect in Massachusetts on January 1, 2011. We often ask our elected officials to support or oppose legislation that affects animals, but should also remember to say thank you when they enact animal-friendly laws. |
My joy today came in threes (though I'm sure there will be more):
1) Getting the nose pads on My glasses fixed, knowing that they will finally fit better and wont keep sliding down My nose 2) Finding out that I am indeed eligible to get new glasses, after having these for five years :blink: 3) Starting a birthday thread for My girl, being able to celebrate with her (even if it is only online) and knowing that I have someone so wonderful in My life :cheesy: |

A stray kitty showed up at my house 2 years ago. After months of leaving her food and coaxing her, she finally let me get close enough to pet her. She usually lays at my feet or under my chair and will allow me to scratch behind her ears. This evening, out of the blue, she jumped in my lap. First time ever. She stood there for a minute while I scratched her ears then jumped down. She circled my chair for a few minutes then jumped back in my lap...then plopped down and nuzzled into me, as if she had been doing it for years. Yay! I'm so loving this kitty... :cheer:

Attending an open day for all sorts of things in St.John's square. I finally got a chance to have a go on a unicycle - I have the bruised shins to prove it. I also picked up the contact information for a local circus skills group I can attend that will help me learn to ride a uni and walk a tight rope, something I've always wanted to do.
A Sunday roast dinner with my best friend Tinkerbell and her 4 boys. These are the things that brought me joy today. |

Woke with my sweets this morning, had coffee and chit chat.
Then a big group of Butch Femme folks and a picnic in the park...good conversation, laughter, and food! Then swimming! All in all, a good day :D |
