Being sent a completely unexpected gift. The present itself was very lovely and thoughtful. The fact that the sender "got" who I was made it all the more extra special.

coming home this morning dead tired took the dogs out to potty and let them run in the snow then watching my Phoebe jump and runn around burrowing her nose and head in the snow almost like she was tunneling to me and leaping in my arms to give me kisses before going back to play with Gracie

Completely misjudged my dog's motives today... I thought she was lobbying to eat early (by mushing up close, all doe-eyed, and giving me kisses) -- but when she settled in position in the crook of my arm, facing belly and toes outward, her head soon drooped and she had fallen asleep! Of course, I imagine that my gently massaging her smooth belly throughout the snuggling up didn't hurt one bit!

An early Christmas present from my daddy bear....
He got me baby elephants! Crystal ones...but still :) My little Cricket...snuggling her face against my leg to get closer...then she gets JUST THE RIGHT SPOT and sighs contentedly and relaxes....touches my heart every time... My mother not wanting to admit that she wants me to go with her to our friend's services....She's a tough nut to crack that mother o' mine.... Knowing...with all the bad that exists in the world, there still is SO much more good... :moonstars: |
In addition to everything else that has me smiling these days...tomorrow is Christmas and although my planned trip to the mountains fell apart when my boss decided to only close the office on Christmas Day...tomorrow is Christmas and the magic therein makes me smile!!!!

Going through my modules & textbooks for next semester.
Also looking through my grades for my first semester . After what felt like a long Clinical week, along with studying for exams, i came out with a 93% overall average for all six courses. i'm tickled & really proud of myself. i've had so much support, love & encouragement, and this semester came with many challenges but i've climbed over every hurdle that came my way. And i *do* have a small tendency to be hard on myself, but i overcame even my own inner stuff. ♥ (now THAT is something to be proud of) |

When Oliver was a kitten, he climbed right up into the Christmas tree and peeked out from his hideout at me, and I snapped a photo of him...
Today, despite the fact that he now resembles a penguin (round teardrop body and tiny head w/a tuxedo suit), he still dove right into the currently unadorned (until our ornaments arrive, for our 2nd Christmas/Birthday week) pre-lit tree and then sat among the branches at the bottom looking forlorn... Sad little penguin...He's still adorable, my Christmas kitty. |
