Yesterday, I cooked up some ground beef, a little basmati rice and two bags of veggies that had zucchini, cauliflower, green beans, carrots and lima beans. Once everything was cooked, I tossed it all together, and called it dinner.
I munched on the leftovers tonight. |
Sorta semi-homemading it. Yesterday, one of those bags of fresh pizza dough made into a hamburger, onion, and mushroom pizza with fresh mozzarella.
Tonight, store bought fresh mushroom ravioli, red sauce and good parm. Wine, of course. |
Last night, I had the last of the mashed potatoes, the last of the steamed broccoli and some bacon jerky and Cuties.

I sauteed a chicken breast with copious amounts of broccoli and cauliflower. I used a new lemon spice that didn't taste very lemony and 21 season salute which never disappoints.
This made a lot so it was my late lunch and I had plenty to eat with my client. |
I had pineapple chicken that did not taste pineappley at all and then some Breyers Cherry Vanilla ice cream.

roast beef, potatoes, carrots and onions in the crock pot - that is, if it ever gets done, because I turned the crock pot on too low to start with and didn't notice for 3 hours

I still have to be careful with eating foods because I won't get my six front teeth crowned until mid February.... so, for me, tonight, I took some of the roast pork and made an patte (sp?)
By mixing it with some garlic hummus and a splash of low-sodium soy sauce, then pulsing it in the food processor. I put the patte on some soft pieces of gluten free bread, which is very tasty. I'm also having a cup of clear vegetable broth too. I'm not too hungry, but it is satisfying. Eta, I think I will have a giant cup of hot cocoa for dessert. |

Chunks of chicken breast meat sautéed in coconut oil with stir fried mushrooms, red bell peppers and mixed vegetables,. This seasoned with sweet chili sauce, tamari and just a teeny splash of rice vinegar, over Jasmine rice. Tea to drink and a sugar-free Jello cup for dessert. :tea:

I had Instacart deliver me some groceries that I had forgotten to get at Whole Foods yesterday because I was hypnotized by the 6-foot tall butch wearing bicycle shorts bending over in the cold foods case (getting me 3 boxes of frozen oatmeal, 2-servings to a box for $3.79) and I did not feel like going out again today.
I had roast chicken and a couple of their prepared deli salads. One was an interesting tabouli-like salad with Kale, quinoa (I think that was what it was) and parsley. It was strange but good and a shredded carrot salad with a lemon-ish vinegarette dressing. No heartburn so far which is a true miracle. I will probably have the same, exact dinner tomorrow night. |
Home made turkey cabbage eggrolls. Not bad. I roasted the turkey last night. It was on radical sale, prolly leftover from the holidays. Butterball. Also not bad.

I am going to have a loaded grilled cheese made with sprouted seed bread, raw cheddar cheese, sliced tomato, garlic sauteed spinach leaves and olive tapenade, and a green salad on the side.

Roast beef, potatoes, carrots and onions which didn't get done in the crock pot until 1 a.m. this morning/last night. That roast beef is really tender and juicy, though!

I ended up having the loaded grilled cheese for lunch and was just going to have a salad for dinner, but my whole house smells like bone broth because I've had the crock pot on simmer and full to the brim with the makings of bone broth all day. I couldn't resist any longer and strained a mug full to have with my salad. Holy hell, it's sooo good!

I had a sub on wheat with chipped beef, provolone and a ton 'o veggies. Caesar dressing for extra flavor. The new 'brightside' Skittles for dessert. Flavored water to drink.

I'm having "clear" liquids and more clear liquids and nothing with red colour...I'm preparing for the unthinkable, a colonoscopy on Thursday.
If we can put a man on the moon why can't we figure out a more pleasant way to check out our colons. If I'd gone to med school, I don't think this is the specialty I'd choose; just like I don't understand dentists who specialise in root canals. After your thousandth colonoscopy or root canal, how much fun can it be? |
