I actually really like my neighbors directly on either side...but....

*Right next door the nice, self-sufficient, off-the-grid hippies chop wood really early in the morning on weekend days.

*There is an obstinate jerk who lives cross the bike path and insists upon walking her dog off leash, despite the fact that it is a.) against the law and b.) that I have nicely and politely asked her not to because my dog is dog aggressive and her dog doesn't always obey her "come/return" command - which could very easily result in a bad situation - which is not good for anyone. Grrrr!

*The subsidized housing complex that is just down the hill, a block away, has recently had a number of violent domestic incidents and there is a new pack of young teenage boys who revel in destruction of property in the neighborhood.

Lived with someone like this...used to slam them behind me to let me know I had left it open. They left things out on the counter like catsup, instant tea, chocolate milk mix, mustard....drives me crazy...they don't live on the counter. I put them up when I clean the kitchen then they ask me where they are; "in the cupboard where they belong"...which garnered the response "I don't know why it matters, I'm just gonna use it again?!" SO the next time they reminded me I left a cabinet door open I turned and said "I don't know why it matters I'm just gonna go in there again!" After that I continued to put stuff up and they continued to close cabinet/drawers behind me...both of in silence
