A wonderfully peaceful day at work today. Spending time with some friends at lunch and briefly after work before heading back to Charlotte. The delightful stick of incense I have burning at the moment.

Its late and I have taken some pain meds (picked up something too heavy today) and I cant recall if I mentioned I have taken in two heterosexual 20 somethings, one of them a former 4Her of mine, her mom also being my friend. The kids were struggling to get on their feet (they have had a rough couple years) and today, finally, the boy secured a job!
now that was a smile there, but what really broadened the smile is he came downstairs in some kind of slick long athletic shorts, and a nice long sleeve shirt and tie, with foot tongs. He told me he wore that to the interview... and then burst out laughing when he saw my eyes widen... he did NOT! I love my kidlings....nurturing the young can be such fun! |

Spring is finally here, the weather is absolutely glorious, there is a slight breeze and the sun is shining. All in all it is a pretty perfect day, only one thing could make it more pefect and that I am counting down the days for... Life is good...

attending the rehearsal and the dinner for my oldest son's wedding tomorrow....
seeing my son stand by his girl and smiling ear to ear.... finding out that he wrote the entire ceremony including what the justice of the peace is saying.... seeing his groomsmen all grown up standing beside him....having known them all since they were tiny little boys. seeing my youngest son stand by his older brother as his best man. knowing that tomorrow i am gaining a daughter and being able to share in that moment of tradition, tenderness and love. |
