This evening, I am making crab cake sliders with lump crab meat and thick cut smoked bacon on ciabatta, jambalaya with andouille(and chicken innards, if Im lucky), and corn on the cob grilled in the husk. To drink, a couple bottles of sauvignon blanc. :) |

I had 3 pineapple sandwiches and large cold milk. Watermelon for dessert.
Cooked 2 steaks for Kelly and Kevin. No, they are not just dogs, they are my dear children. I could have had a rib-eye, sirloin or New York Strip but had not had a pineapple sandwich in a long time and they were delicious. :) |

We were fending for ourselves as our schedules didn't jive well, so I had my leftover mac 'n cheese mixed with broccoli, soft white cheese with blueberry goo, and some sweet red grapes.
Good enough. |

Grilled burgers with a three chile honey relish, pickled red onions, monterey jack sauce on a bun. My potato salad. Red, white, and blue tortilla chips with salsa verde. (I got the salsa verde for free with an ecoupon!) Hot BLT dip, that has a lb of bacon, mozzarella, fontina, and cream cheese...all melty in the oven and garnished with lettuce and tomatoes.
For dessert we are making vanilla ice cream and adding crushed pineapple, coconuts, pecans and walnuts, and maraschino cherries. |

We had a barbecue at my mom's. Ted made potato salad and I made anti-pasta salad. Since we got there lateish, I had our salads, my sister's macaroni and tuna salad and some jerk chicken I brought to cook. (my sister loveddddd it!) My cousin made some chocolate trifle. Luckily. Since I forgot the strawberry shortcake -cake at home. :|
In future news... I will have to post in the breakfast thread...we will be having cake for days.... :blush: |

OMG...I had the BEST pastrami sammich for dinner. Diet Coke Zero to drink. I'm trying to talk the kid into going to the store to get some popcorn. Yummy.
